Reducing your energy costs with First Utility
Silversurfers has teamed up with First Utility, the UK’s largest independent gas and electricity supplier, to bring you news, insights and advice to help you lower your energy bills and stay on top of the latest developments that could impact you.
Energy is one of those things that we have to have but don’t like to pay for. As such many people give it scant regard but it has such an impact on our lives, the environment, the economy, and the political debate that we thought it warranted some focus.
We’re bringing you a wealth of information to put you firmly in the know so you can take control of your energy use and lower your bills.
About First Utility
We put our energy into empowering you to save money, so you can spend more on what you want and less on what you need.
Leading the charge against the established Big Six energy providers, our focus is on lowering energy bills through cheaper tariffs, campaigning for industry change and bringing tools and insights to help put you in control.
Campaigning for Change
We’ve already reduced the time it takes to switch energy supplier from five weeks to two and a half weeks and now we’re working on scrapping the standard variable tariff so you’ll never have to pay over the odds for gas and electricity. Find out more about First Utility campaigns.
Putting technology First
Alongside this, we’re committed to giving you insights into your usage through the latest technology so you can lower your spend and save even more on your energy. We’re currently helping you take control of your energy spend with a FREE Cosy – the smart thermostat worth £179 that comes with our iControl Fixed May 2018 tariff.
We’re also putting our energy into helping children and families through our ongoing support for the NSPCC. Sign up to First Utility in May and we’ll donate £2 per month to the NSPCC for two years on your behalf.
On top of this, we’ve launched our very own independent charity, the First Utility Foundation. We support projects that make a genuine difference to the lives of vulnerable families and individuals across the UK by awarding grants to charitable schemes that can deliver real improvement to the quality of life.
