Healthy recipes for your juicer
Juicing and blending are easy ways to give yourself a flavourful health boost and make delicious, refreshing drinks at home with no added sugars or preservatives.
Summer is the perfect time to try making your own juice from home – juicers offer a simple way to add even more fruit and vegetables to your everyday diet, and by getting creative with your combinations you can enjoy a healthy drink without sacrificing on taste.
Here are four of our favourite juice and smoothie recipes just in time for spring and summer.
Beetroot, Apple & Grapefruit Juice
- 1 pack of vacuum packed natural cooked beetroot
- 2 apples
- 1 peeled grapefruit
What to do:
Put your apples, grapefruit and beetroot into your juicer. Pour into glasses and serve.
Spinach and mango smoothie
- A large handful of spinach
- 200g frozen mango
- One medium banana
- 250ml coconut water, water or apple juice
What to do:
- Add spinach, frozen mango, banana and coconut water to blender and blitz. If smoothie is too thick, add a little more water until you achieve your desired consistency.
Celery, pear and ginger juice
- 2 green apples
- 2 pears
- 4 sticks of celery
- 3cm fresh ginger
What to do:
Chop the fruit and celery into chunks. Put everything through a juicer then chill in the fridge. Stir well before serving.
Watercress, Orange and Kiwi juice
- 50g Watercress
- 2 kiwis, peeled and chopped
- a few mint leaves, torn
- juice of 1 orange or 125ml fresh orange juice
- juice of 1 lime
What to do:
If you don’t own a juicer, the great news is this recipe is also suited to be made in a blender. Simply place all these ingredients in a blender and whizz together. If you like your juice chilled, add a handful of ice before you flick the switch! Alternatively, you can add all your ingredients to your juicer. Stir well and then serve.
