Like Minders offers a cost-effective solution for people who require companionship and help around the home, but wish to maintain some independence.
Care through Like Minders can cost as little as £430 a week for half day, every day flexible care, compared to over £30,000 a year on average for a care home.
Like Minders believes that there is no black and white solution to elderly care but there is a significant void between those who are self- sufficient, to those needing full time medical care. People who just need help around the home or simply companionship, tend to be the ones who are neglected. You can register for the service for free and Like Minders never charges until they have found a suitable carer. You can register and make bookings as a member or a non-member and unlike many agencies its fees are totally transparent, as all the money paid to the carer goes directly to them. The agency fees, paid separately are all clear and available on the website.
