Dress to impress: great Christmas party looks
If you’re getting ready for an upcoming Christmas party and don’t have anything to wear, don’t worry. We’ve rounded up a few great outfits that don’t just look incredible on the hanger.
Look 1: The new little black dress
There’s a reason black never goes out of style – it’s sophisticated, slimming and easy to wear more than once. If you’ve already got a favourite black dress in your wardrobe there’s no need to reinvest. Instead, update your look with accessories and finishing touches like a chunky statement necklace, printed tights, sparkly shoes and a bold red lipstick.
Look 2: Add a little sparkle
Sequins, metallics and sparkling embellishments remain popular on the high street again this year and are a great option when you want to glam up for a Christmas party. This is a great look if you’re not interested in accessories or dramatic makeup looks. You can wear a simple plain shoe, skip the jewellery and go with understated makeup – your dress will be the conversation piece.
Look 3: A touch of lace
Lace is the perfect balance between a classic cut and a bold print – you can find form flattering dresses that are elegant and sophisticated but still have a bit of interest to them. You can keep it simple with muted accessories or make it more glamorous with a smokey eye.
