Oak and Personal is the home of unique and personalised gifts for your friends, family and home.
We design, make and engrave every item to order in our West Sussex workshop. Each is lovingly hand crafted from English or European prime oak, with timber sourced from sustainable forests and, when possible, local woodland.
Our solid oak designs add a touch of style, warmth and humour wherever they go. They make excellent gift ideas for Christmas, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, retirement, end-of-term presents or just a personal indulgence!
Every gift is unique and personalised and eminently practical, so whilst the gift you choose will have a beauty all of its own, it will also serve an everyday purpose.
We offer almost infinite possibilities with the engraving – limited only by your imagination. The item you choose can be inscribed with
- a special message,
- a design from our extensive library of images to create a 2D motif,
- one of our 3D motifs,
- a personalised cipher,
- in most cases, a combination of the above.
We do not impose a limit on the number of characters and will adjust size and spacing to best fit the available space. We can, of course, provide advice on engraving if required. All engraving is carved in the wood and should not be confused with laser etching.
Popular wording for engraving includes couples’ names, children’s names, wedding and anniversary dates, initials and house names. The website shows numerous examples of previous orders should you require inspiration.
Our collection includes wall clocks and door stops as well as wooden cheese, bread, chopping and carving boards, lazy Susans, wine racks, book ends, fruit bowls, bootjacks and other accessories. And we are always working on new designs.
Our products make perfect presents for any special occasion. With Mothering Sunday on the horizon, closely followed by Easter, why not treat a loved one or yourself to a gift crafted from a traditional material that will be cherished for many years.
Please remember every item is made to order so delivery times are around ten days or slightly longer during busy periods.
