Discover Infiniti – Affordable luxury vehicles

A refreshing alternative to the German premium marques, we explore why owning an Infiniti is not only indulgent but also sensible.

What is Infiniti?

Infiniti is the latest entrant to the UK premium vehicle market. The small but growing range is currently built in Japan, however later this year will see a new compact model, the Q30 built in Sunderland in the UK.

Why buy Infiniti?

Infiniti vehicles come with very high specification as standard. Even the entry-level model Q50 comes with 17” alloy wheels, front & rear parking sensors, reverse camera, Bluetooth audio, Bluetooth phone connectivity, cruise control, speed limiter, 60/40 rear seats and ski hatch.

The customer service is excellent, with a focus on the Japanese hospitality concept of Omotenashi. A 48-hour test drive will make sure that you’re in the right car and give you the opportunity to experience not just the drive, but how it feels to own an Infiniti.

Safety

The Infiniti Q50 features the world-first Direct Adaptive Steering, which will make sure that you’re not drifting out of the lane due to strong crosswinds, will not let the steering wheel be wrenched out of your hands when going over tricky terrain, and even allow you to fine-tune the steering weight to your needs.

Forward Collision Warning (or autobrake) uses radar to see ahead of the car in front of you, stopping you in case of emergency even when you can’t see what’s happening.

Blind Spot Assist will warn you when there is a vehicle or person in your blind spot and prevent you from colliding with them.

Backup Collision Intervention will stop the vehicle while reversing if something crosses your path, potentially saving lives.

Suffice it to say, Infiniti Q50 is one of the safest cars in the world.

Performance

Infiniti vehicles pride themselves on their performance, and have a number of exciting engines to choose from. The environmentally friendly 2.2 litre diesel engine delivers excellent performance whilst keeping CO2 emissions low and returning upwards of 60mpg.

At the top of the range sits the 3.5 litre V6 Hybrid which delivers 364PS. An eco-hybrid it is not, with 0-60 in just 5.1s – however this amount of power rarely puts out 45mpg, which is exactly what the Infiniti achieves.

Other engines include a 2.0l petrol, 3.0l diesel, 3.7V6 and 5.0V8.

Comfort

All Infiniti vehicles are comfortable with NASA-designed front seats and a full-size rear bench – bucking the industry trend of having ¾ sized rear benches whilst still providing class-leading rear legroom. Ride is smooth and quiet, especially when running on battery power in the hybrid, which can be done at cruising speeds.
