For her birthday I got tickets for my mum and dad to see Frank at the Royal Albert Hall in 1985, she was like a child in a sweet shop and said it was one of the best presents ever!
When she sadly passed away in 2013 it seemed so fitting to play My Way at her funeral. What an icon!
However, on a couple of occasions, Frank Sinatra recorded a song called
"The night we called it a day."
I love this song by Mr. S. and in particular, the last version of it that he recorded.
The musical arrangement alone is out of this world, but with Mr. S's voice it doesn't come any better.
I could wear out my pc by naming all of the songs of his that I like.
Another is Blues in The Night' from an album loaded with love songs and great music featuring Neldon Riddle.....
The Lady is a Tramp
This is a very difficult song to sing correctly due to all the chord changes.
It was rumoured that Frank made it one of his real favourites to sing because so many other "singers" found it too difficult to pitch, correctly.
That possibly explains why he will always be regarded as the best "crooner" of all time
