This comments section says you can chat about anything so here goes, with regards to our generation what do you think about how we are treated in Britain today? like do you think we should be getting a higher state pension? I recall many moons ago we were told that when we become full members of the E.U. our older folk will get the same as in Germany/France/Spain and so on , yet after all this while we are still at the bottom or very close to it and receive a lot.lot less, I mean they say in one breathe we will be better off being in but when push comes to shove we are nowhere in their thinking. I am cruising toward a number 67 may be younger or not than some silversurfers on here but I strongly believe that after all this generation has gone through then it's only fair they or we are treated with the respect we deserve and should not feel as if we were a burden. Well I will sign off now and I think you might now be able to have a stab as to what you think of me cant wait to read some, so bye have a nice day everyone and don't forget to look in on some one not as fortunate as we may be...........
alan.
I would like to add this is a terrific site to get involved in- although I am new to it and not really involved myself the freedom of it appeals to me greatly, and I'm sure it will be the same for everyone who uses it.
Well done the organisers!
and knitting I do!
