Win ONE of TEN Dalmore Whisky tasting kits
Great Whisky Deserves Great Water!
We have 10 fantastic Dalmore Whisky tasting kits to give away in this fabulous prize draw in association with the best water for whisky.
Larkfire ‘Wild Water for Whisky’ have partnered with Dalmore to create a unique kit that is worth over £50 and includes three whiskies from The Principal Collection. You will enjoy the classic 15yr Old, finished in a variety of different style sherry casks, the indulgent Port Wood Reserve finished in American ex-bourbon casks and aged Tawny Port pipes. The third whisky in this generous tasting kit (all drams are 50ml serves) is the Dalmore King Alexander III which is finished in no less than 6 different casks, creating a truly rich and enticing flavour. This a fantastic prize for whisky enthusiasts and novices alike, it comes with tasting notes and a Glencairn Larkfire water jug as well as 4 cans of Wild Water.
To get the full tasting experience of any whisky it is important to add a splash of water. Why?
Whisky is a complex liquid which develops over many years and is made with great love, care and attention. The finished product also has a high alcohol content so adding a little water, as much or as little as you like, can really make a difference to what you taste. Larkfire is sourced on the Isle of Lewis in partnership with the Stornoway Trust, it is super soft and contains almost no minerals thanks to the unique geology of the island.
Chlorine and Fluoride in tap water or high mineral content of spring or mineral water, can change and spoil the taste of the whisky. Larkfire is as natural as it comes and nothing is added that would negatively affect what is already in the Whisky – the water simply opens up the full nose, softens the fire of the alcohol and creates a soft mouth feel, frees up the complex taste and extends the flavour.
