How to find anything on this siteHi Sally and team. Please don't take my next comments in a bad way. This site has all the makings of being a good site but you need to listen to the people struggling to navigate. It is not easy to use and surely we shouldn't be having to wade through comments from 2014. I did give up a few years ago for the same reasons others have stated and once again I am having difficulty looking for recent posts from others. I will try for a few more days but it is frustrating and time consuming.ViewDate:

Ukraine warIt is heartbreaking to see innocent people suffer due to power hungry men. We should all be living peacefully in this day and age.ViewDate:

People Have Forgotten How To Be Friends...Make it happen Ian. Going back to your original post...Society has changed over the years not for the better in some ways. My fears are for the next generation. They are going to have no social skills as they are spending too much time on computers. Dare I say that they will have a nation of narcissists and that is scary. LOLViewDate:

I just turned 69. Am I to old to relocate? What do you have to lose? What does age have to do with a new adventure? Gather information on the area you are interested in. If you are happy with what you find then look for a property and "GO" for it. It could be "the start of something big" as they say.ViewDate:

People who make no effort when buying giftsI can see where you are coming from ... yes there is a BUT she may not be very good at choosing presents or is indecisive. She may think you have everything you need which causes her to feel pressurised. I don't believe she would intentionally to upset you.ViewDate:

What will you be doing to keep yourself busy if you are self-isolating?Have given myself a to do list which I am allowing myself to take time in doing the tasks. Along with the least appealing tasks I have added enjoyable activities. So I have taken up Yoga (youtube), meditation, daily walk with my old fashioned binoculars (but hey who cares) LOL. Noticing an abundance of things that have been here years but never taken the time to observe. On one of my walks came across an allotment and made a couple of new friends one of whom has invited me to a picnic in the summer. He has an idyllic spot down by the riverside where kingfishers and woodpeckers reside. So there you go good does come from bad sometimes. Also practising bridge, completing jigsaws, playing spider solitaire all on line. Then of course in between there is painting of trellis, potting plants, cleaning house, sorting of files, sorting wardrobes. Just realised.....I am doing quite a lot...as I bet you all are. Stay safe folks.ViewDate:

Stuck in DubaiHi Susie what a damn mess! You may be better staying put if possible as you will be in lockdown here too. More importantly, you do not want to risk catching this horrendous virus.ViewDate:

Missing the grandchildren due to lockdownHello Carnflower, I do empathise with you not able to see your grandsons. Let's hope it's not too far away that we can get back to our normal lives. Carnflower I know how to facetime (it has to be easy if I can do it, lol) not that it's any use as I am often asking the family to repeat what they have said. I become quite anxious before I phone so I prefer to send pictures and text the family. You can bet your granddaughter was pleased to see you.ViewDate:

Missing the grandchildren due to lockdownHello ladies, you are not alone there will be thousands of us. I have my 4 year old grandson for a couple of hours per week but also see him during the week. I am so missing him and would love to give him a cuddle. I wear two hearing aids which is not ideal for face timing as I don't hear everything particularly when there is background noise. Have a good day and stay safe.ViewDate:
