Water benefitsSpot on! I always start my day with a mug of 'Corporation Pop' as we used to call it. Cleans your system Its all big business now, 'get a meter& only pay for what you use', haha! Yes its cheaper than 'Water Rates'but there is a fixed 'daily charge', just for the 'priviledge' of being connected(conned might be better. On top of that you pay for what you use. Don't use a lot so the total cost per cu/ltr is extortionate. Water Company is no longer British, its owned by an Aussie Bank, nuff said!ViewDate:

Do you agree with the TV licence changes for over-75s?IF the didn't pay vastly inflated sums to 'ordinary' presenters! Who can possibly 'earn' £.5m, or many times that a year!ViewDate:

Do you agree with the TV licence changes for over-75s?Totally agree Anni, but I don't think its that simple. Government will blame the Beeb. Beeb Has to get Finance, probably that needs to be changed. You need a Licence to Drive, Pay a Tax to keep a vehicle on the road, keep a TV whatever Programmes you watch(even pay to view).. My pension increase do not evn cover the increased costs of Council Tax(I pay 75% of the tax paid by the family of 4, all working, who live next door), the ever increasing costs of utilities. Never mind increasing costs of food & everything elseViewDate:

Do you agree with the TV licence changes for over-75s?To be fair this news has just come out, a few days after the D Day Remembrances. This crimes is simply a Government CON orchestrated by George Osbourne at the time of sorting out a new Charter for the Beeb. The Beeb wanted to be able to raise the Licence fee, Osbourne wanted to relieve Government of its responsibility for covering the cost of Free TV Licences for over 75's. As a slimy Politician he conned the Beeb negotiators into trading the ability to raise the Licence fee, in return they accepted the cost of free licences, probably without fully realising the full implications. Now the chickens are coming home to roost. Responsibility lies firmly with Government, they of course wriggle out of it by blaming the Beeb. The Beeb now has to justify its bloated Management structure, & excessive salaries/fees/payments to presenters. How can the Possibly justify payments of close to £4m to just 3 presenters, 2 of whom I never watch and the third I have never hear of? Its not the BBC TV you will be deprived of. The Licence Fee is not paid to enable you to watch, it is to allow you to keep a TV as a useful? pet which enables you to watch any TV programmes.
