Should there be a relaxation of restrictions for the Christmas period?whilst I agree with the principle of reducing our dependence on fossil fuel in transport & would love to go fully electric I cannot afford to, I struggled to purchase a Hybrid vehicle last year because of the additional premium in price but the extra £10k for an EV puts it well beyond my finances, I live in a rural area & my wife has to commute to work, she doesn't drive & relies on me to get to work so an electric vehicle would be ideal but with two charging points where she works that are always occupied the is very little infrastructure, I am lucky enough to have a driveway and could have a charging point at home but again at extra capital outlay which I cannot afford along with a large portion of the general publicViewDate:

Should there be a relaxation of restrictions for the Christmas period?it only takes a minute to get infected, if you are asymptomatic and mingle with family members you could pass the infection to vulnerable members of your family or you could get infected yourself, are you prepared to take that risk, also those members of your family could then disperse infecting others outside of your immediate circle, that is probably why the R rate isn't falling quickly enough because too many people think they are OK to mix with family in their own housesViewDate:

Should there be a relaxation of restrictions for the Christmas period?some people still think this is all just a conspiracy for the government to control people even to the extent of someone claiming that Bill Gates was putting tracking chips into the vaccine, the paranoia that is around is sometimes unbelievableViewDate:

Should there be a relaxation of restrictions for the Christmas period? If they ease the restrictions it will lead to a spike of infections but once you have let the genie out of the bottle it will be more difficult to get it back in again, however, if mass vaccination becomes available in Dec it might not be necessary to re-introduce such strict lockdown restrictionsViewDate:

Should people be incentivised to get the Covid-19 vaccine?we need the vaccination to be effective but paying people via an incentive sets a precedent that could be dangerous in the future, imagine if smallpox had been incentivised & people had held out until the incentive matched their desires, that could mean that smallpox could still be a viable threat, the incentive for for CV 19 & any other sort of pandemic should be the health benefits & protection that vaccination would provide.ViewDate:

Would you like to see health test results online?as most of the information held about you by the NHS has alraedy been digitised you are already at risk. why not take advantage to see for yourself what is already available, some of the things you are calling hacks weren't hacks as such, they were denial of service not loss of data, however as I said whether you want to read it or no the information is already online, that is how information is passed to the GP's surgery from clinical pathology so why not find out what is alrady there.ViewDate:

Would you like to see health test results online?not just for prostate cancer, all blood test results should be made available with deviation from normal range shown and then a direct way to to discuss with a health professional, not necessarily your GP but someone who can tell you what an abnormal result means and what you need to do to follow it up, would save GP 's from unecessary appointments to tell you there is nothing wrongViewDate:

Should parents have the option not to vaccinate their children? Those know it all's as you put it are not endangering children like the luddites who produce false evidence to malign vaccination are, vaccination has been tested rigorously in many countries and by the WHO and found to be safe, the delays caused between single vaccinations put children at risk, why do you promote a procedure which puts children at risk from horrible diseases.ViewDate:

Should parents have the option not to vaccinate their children?I think that any parent who endangers their children and deliberately puts them at risk should face sanctions, not only are they putting that child at risk in the future but risking spreading a disease which could be removed from the world, if people had behaved like this with smallpox that would still be endemic but because of timely vaccination it was eradicated.ViewDate:

Should the Winter Fuel Allowance be means tested?Up until your last sentence I was agreeing with you, however it is those who really need WFA should be getting it people accuse Tories of only assisting the rich but as soon as they try to cut a benefit for the better off joy complain you are right about the mismanagement though Brown And Blair left the larder empty and even had the cheek to leave a note for the incoming Chancellor, sorry spent it all, none leftViewDate:

Should the Winter Fuel Allowance be means tested?Although I enjoy getting the winter fuel allowance, I cannot really justify claiming it, I am retired with both state and occupation pensions, I consider myself to be reasonably well off enough not to genuinely need it so as I said to me it is a bonus not a necessityViewDate:

Helping loved ones through griefyou never get over the loss of a loved one but you can learn to live again if you remember them fondly and dont allow grief and guilt to dominate the rest of your life.ViewDate:

Helping loved ones through griefI totally agree, drugs to help with depression just hide it not cure it, grief is not a disease to be treated although drugs can help sometimes what you really need is emotional support, talking sometimes helps but unfortunately sometimes talking to familiy members is not much of a help because they are too involved with their own grief, coping and sharing expeiences will make a difference but sometimes talking to a non judgemental stranger is the best way to go, its not for everyone but it certainly helped me.ViewDate:

Helping loved ones through griefwhat really annoyed me after the loss of my wife of 35 years was the people who said what stage are you at, expecting me to say grief or anger or some other trite emotion, My family were very supportive but each had to handle their own feeling of grief etc, I didnt want to talk at first and became very depressed, fortunately my GP understood a little of what I was going through and recommended counselling, I was put on the waiting list which was over 8 months long, fortunately the counsellor who interviewed me for therapy gave me the contact of a local church group who had a professional counsellor volunteering with them, I was very sceptical at first, I was a man, I didn't need to talk, how wrong I was, she got me to open my mind and talk not only about my loss but how my whole life was affected by my introspection. She gave me back a life I thought I had lost forever and showed be how negative grief can be if allowed to take over. I owe my happy and contented current life to her, the very professional volunteer counsellor who taught me to open my life and not feel guilty for still being alive.ViewDate:

Who will you vote for in the next General Election?treasured public services indeed, but they have to be paid for, you cant just keep building up the National Debt like the Labour Party did, keep borrowing untill they couldnt get any more and left it to the next government to sort it out, where would we be if we all did the same, borrow to the limit and leave the debt to our kids to sort out, thats what Labour did and now we have to pay back the borrowing, it hurts on a personal level and on a National one.ViewDate:

Who will you vote for in the next General Election?why let local issues cloud judgement on matters of National importance, At least you aren't looking at the great borrower Corbyn, but if you vote on local issues he might just get a chance because there are many people advocating tactical voting to skew the electionViewDate:

Who will you vote for in the next General Election?I agree that the demographics of this poll are somewhat skewed and I think this web site is slightly right of centre but it does give a flavour of the mood of the country -
