JohnGladstone's bio
Having had a life long interest in genealogy, I served a pupillage at the College of Arms from 1966-1968. Since then I have taught "Tracing Your Family Tree" at evening classes and also given talks on the College of Arms and the Heralds. I had to take early retirement due to ill health in 2007 and moved back to my roots in Swansea. I am involved in my local church and enjoy going to concerts and the theatre from time to time. I have a varied number of interests ranging from the Royal Family to watching DVDs (mainly of old classics), due to mobility problems I can no longer visit stately homes as I once did. I am an avid reader and enjoy biographies and any fiction on real life scenarios. I also have a great interest in local history. Due to my mobility problems, my computer is a great friend.
