Daily serving of leafy greens could help prevent dementiaI decided to go on a Whole Foods Plant Based diet for a month just to find out how I would feel. I previously had a hip replacement which was successful but I require to keep my weight down. I also read the many books available which emphasised the many benefits of this type of eating. The initial and very noticeable change was in the increase in my energy. Next was the massive decrease in my grocery bill. Now 6 weeks later I am still adhering to the diet. It would be great to think that there would be other benefits as mentioned in the research but only time will tell.ViewDate:

Would you want to take your dog on holiday with you if you could? We have always wanted to take our dog on holiday. When he was younger he was fit enough to go to kennels. Unfortunately we were unaware that there were dog friendly hotels. Now that he is older we are quite limited in our destinations which are usually caravan parks in the UK. . However this is greatly outweighed by the fact that our dog is always with us. dog friendly hotels are a wonderful idea and I welcome them.ViewDate:

What advice would you share with younger generations?I would say try as best you can to save if only a little amount. Look after your health and keep active physically and mentally. Re evaluate your life every so often. I can remember when I was 31 and had just graduated as a mature student. This was a massive achievement for me and I had to work really hard, never thinking I would complete the course !!!! It made me ask - is there anything else I have ever wanted to achieve or at least TRY to achieve ? I then made a list of things I wanted to try before I was 40, These included learning the piano, ballroom dancing, tap dancing and a whole lot more. I am now 65 and can look back and say I have achieved many things but some I tried to do but could not - but I did try. The funny thing is that I still find things I want to try but wish I had found them sooner. My big passion at the moment is for Pilates. In my 20's I had never even hear of Pilates let alone spell it.ViewDate:

Which is your favourite Frank Sinatra Song?THE SUMMER WIND has always been and forever will be my favourite Frank Sinatra song. It always reminds me of being young and care free and having the whole world ahead of me, although I didn't realise it at the time. When it is played I can feel the warm wind in my hair and can see the glorious blue skies over the sand dunes on Stevenston beach in North Ayrshire. The hypnotic musical introduction ( by Nelson Riddle) just glides you into the most beautiful slow foxtrot music. Ooooo just beautiful and pure 60's.
