SudokuI am full of admiration for RUS who has completed today's Sudoku in 1 minute 44 seconds. Please give us some tips on how you manage these amazing times? Do you take each square at a time and run through the missing letters from 1-9 to see which ones are certain fits? eg in the first square there is already a 1 but a 2 is needed. Glancing down you can see a 2 directly below so that still leaves three other options where a 2 could fit so I would leave that out for now; same applies to the missing number 3; missing number 5 has 5 different options so I'll ignore that; missing 6 has 4 possible places so it is only the missing 9 that you can definitely place right in the centre. Phew! That's square 1 done (taking me about 8 seconds to place just 1 of the 50+ missing numbers.) There must be a quicker way. How do other SIlversurfers approach on-line Sudoku? I also use a mouse and keyboard - maybe it's quicker with a touch pad? I certainly used to be quicker with a paper and pencil!ViewDate:

CrosswordHi Sally, the word that fits is the verb to "Supplicate". ( I've carried handbags, shoulder bags, carrier bags and clutch bags but never a supplicate bag!) :)ViewDate:

CrosswordI have tried to think of every different type of "bag", but am forced to believe that the clue for 1 across on today's crossword (14 Feb) should be "beg"!ViewDate:

CrosswordThe answer to 2 down "Break (7)" of today's crossword is a non-word (error is with the 6th letter as I discovered after going through the alphabet and checking each letter and wrecking my time!) :(ViewDate:

CrosswordHi Sally, apologies - I was about to send you a message on fb when my internet went down in the dreadful weather we are experiencing (howling winds, sideways sleet and snow across the moors!) It is 2 down "Employment". Cheri and I think it should be "USE" but you can only complete the crossword if you put in the word UUE, which I don't think exists. Many thanks. CaroleViewDate:

CrosswordI agree Cheri. I went through the alphabet letter by letter applying cheat button (which adds 30 seconds each time) until I found the correct middle letter and - to save others going through the same process and adding 10 minutes to their time - the resulting word for 2 down is "UUE".ViewDate:

Can women still be gorgeous and sexy at over 50 years old?Hey thanks Paul, I've only just noticed your kind comment 8 months later. I then scrolled down to see the comment from Martin...which I won't dignify with a response.ViewDate:

Public ProfileHi Silversurfers, yes it was easy to register and log in, thanks. I enjoy having well-written articles that are of particular relevance to me popping up under my profile. It's always pleasant to take a break from my work and find something interesting to read, or a quiz/crossword/Sudoku to do. :)ViewDate:

Posh Chocolate Fridge CakeWow! Looks absolutely delicious and quite healthy with the nuts, berries and dark chocolate! Any idea of the calorie count per slice? I'd have to run an awful lot of miles to work off the calories I'd consume eating it all within 2 days! -
