Is Labour's new WASPI promise credible? Its a start but its not fairly distributed in its current form. At last one party is prepared to try and fix the i justice. Women born after 1955 are getting very little and its spread over 5 years but we are the ones working an extra 6 years whereas before the dates were staggered no one working a further 6 years! It needs re negotiation with the pension groups and Labour working together. I want to know if 1950s are going to be eligible for pension credit if out of work as now they have to claim unemployment benefit. Our state pensions are not a benefit!ViewDate:

Will your pension support your retirement plans?I was due to retire in 2019 having worked since 1975 but the Govt pushed through the new women retirement age to 66 was told this in 2013 too late to make provision for my pension. I qualify for the full flat rate SP this year but will now lose £50000 pension payments. Have joined WASPI to try and get a bridging pension. I would have been ok under the old scheme with SERPS. I opted out 23 yrs will have to live on that i suppose! -
