Win a wonderful holiday for two to three iconic Italian cities! You need never leave Europe to enjoy amazing holidays and not have to visit the same place twice. You could almost say the same for Italy alone - these three, the Northern Lakes, Bay of Naples and many more.ViewDate:

Does nostalgia keep us from appreciating the present?44 years ago a friend of the family took a very short cinefilm of our wedding day. I say short - it was less than 2 minutes; we never had the chance to view it at the time and gave up on it as cine became obsolete. Our daughter found a small company which converted it to DVD, and I've never been so overwhelmed by emotion as I was on seeing guests, relatives, friends, most of whom are now dead, in a "moving" situation, rather than simply a series of photos. I'm at the age where I've lost 5 very close friends from that time in 3 years, and this is now a memory I'll always have of them. Past, present and future each have their place in our lives.ViewDate:

Win a set of TaylorMade RocketBladez Irons with Onlinegolf! After struggling to find the proper way to hit the ball for 50 years I gave myself one last chance before it was too late. The faults that I could hide with a good short game in my prime were now so obvious that friends drawing me as a partner tended to grimace at what financial losses lay ahead. Lo and behold our friendly and patient professional is working miracles, and I'm sure now I could do justice to my first new set of irons in almost 20 years. Happy days, win or lose!ViewDate:

Win a 3 night mini-cruise for two with Caledonian Discovery!About 20 years ago we spent three consecutive October week's school holidays in a bungalow in Banavie. I'd recommend the area around here and Fort William most strongly as a good base for exploring both the brilliant coastal and lochside scenery to the west, as well as north east through Loch Lochy to loch Ness. I have to say also that we always had good weather, and if I'm not fortunate enough to win this great prize the winner should think about adding some time to the trip to take in the Ardnamurchan Peninsula and other beauty spots west of Fort William.ViewDate:

Win an Incredible Holiday for 2 to AlabamaMy beliefs and sense of conscience were strengthened through those early 60s by the appalling treatment of black people and the words of Mr King and Bob Dylan. I've always regretted not going to the States to help but I do remember that you just couldn't travel that distance back then as a schoolboy. I'm pleased that I'm hardly less passionate today than I was at 16 in 1963. Thank God for the Civil Rights activists and their supporters. -
