Do you approve of dummies? With some babies it's the only way to get them off to sleep and mums need their rest too. As long as they are gone by the time they go to Nursery, I once knew someone who took his sucky blanket to school. That is a no no. Keeping mum and baby relaxed and stress free is the most important thing.ViewDate:

Ready prepared or whole - how do you buy your vegetables?Always have bought fresh, unprepared veg but as my hands become more affected by arthritis those ones cut up in bags look very inviting. I love making fresh veg soup but it takes me twice as long to prepare now and makes my hands very painful.ViewDate:

My failing!Lovely poem and so true. I quite often pick up a spoon in the kitchen and think why is that spoon on the floor. My hand are becoming unreliable, like other parts of my body, but it's better than the alternative. :)ViewDate:

HouseworkGreat poem, and people still say the good old days, not for women. No wonder some women never left the house with large families and no washer, driers unheard of etc. life must have been hard. But with no TV to waste time I can remember long summer nights in the park, mum with her knitting and us enjoying the fresh air.ViewDate:

Will you be sending Christmas cards this year?Oh how sad for you, I shall never complain again as I slave over my hot oven on Christmas Day. It's too early for me to send best wishes but I do hope someone finds the time to pop in and wish you a happy day. If I knew where you lived I'd do it myself. Look after yourself I will be thinking of you on Christmas Day. xxxViewDate:

Christmas Adverts: the best of the bestSorry I find this years John Lewis Christmas Advert strange and slightly creepy, not at all uplifting and cheerful like other years. It's a no from me.ViewDate:

Are you happy to pay for your shopping bags? What did we do before plastic bags, I think we should stop making them for a few years and see if we can manage without them as we did before they existed. As long as they are so handy we will keep on using them.ViewDate:

Are you happy to pay for your shopping bags?I always carry a reusable bag and use my bags for life at the supermarket. Apart from the litter problem we are using up the worlds resources and why should we expect a bag to be free. PS I also shop in Accy market catwitch.ViewDate:

Should women only carriages be introduced on trains at night? Why should women have to be separated from men to be safe, this is wrong. What next a burka? It's time men sorted themselves out.ViewDate:

Are you increasingly shopping online? No waiting, no seeing what you want but they don't have the size and you can shop at your own pace sitting in your armchair, no pushing through crowds of rude people. I love shopping on line, though I like my supermarket shop once a week, however might try on line sometime.ViewDate:

How Seconds Matter to Someone with ArthritisI agree with all the comments here. My hands are so annoying when they drop things you think you have a hold of. I have difficulty convincing the doctor or anyone how bad the pain is in my back, hips and legs, how do you get across to others how tiring constant pain is.ViewDate:

Would you consider Botox® injections?Don't tamper with nature be thankful if your are in good health. I would love to look 10 years younger but is it worth the risk? I don't agree with bust implants and other cosmetic stuff or tattoos as people expect the NHS to stump up when it all goes wrong.ViewDate:

Do you believe what manufacturers say on packaging? As I have said before advertising is all smoke and mirrors and the older I get the more I distrust anything anyone promises. It is disturbing when you can't trust a company like Boots, think of all the parents buying sun cream for their children.ViewDate:

Do you iron your bed sheets?Life is too short to iron sheets. Can't remember the last time I used my iron, if you shop for the right cloths and put them on a hanger as you take them out of the dryer you need never iron again. Can't understand people who say they 'enjoy' ironing I'd rather poke pins in my eyes. :)ViewDate:

Do you take notice of dietary and medical advice regarding healthy eating?I am type 2 diabetic, have high blood pressure, and over weight. I am advised by different doctors and clinic nurses on diet and get different advice from all. Don't eat bananas, yes do they are good for you. Low carb high fat, no low fat. Fruit juice, no it's bad for you. At the moment I don't know if I am coming or going and it makes you feel like giving up trying.ViewDate:

Do you use anti wrinkle cream?I use whatever's on special offer, never spend more than £7 on any anti wrinkle cream. It's all smoke and mirrors, advertising companies are paid fortunes to con us, but it makes me feel as if I am trying to stop the ageing showing. As someone once said, keep smiling and a good pair of tweezers, that's all you need.ViewDate:

Do you feel the economy is getting better?Get very sick of people talking about well off pensioners. Some may be well of but for many the struggle goes on. Having taken time off work to make sure my children were well looked after etc my pension is very little but not low enough to get benefits all those nice free dental treatments etc that those who have only just landed on our shores are handed. Yes it's still them and us and the gap is getting bigger, all those bankers and politicians giving themselves pay rises and bonuses.ViewDate:

Tackling insominaTrouble is it's not me with insomnia. Even sleeping in another bedroom does not help when your husband is slightly deaf and does not realise that banging about in the kitchen and even playing the banjo at 3am is not amusing.ViewDate:

Should unemployed young people work for their benefits?Sorry but if they work it's a job and should be paid the going rate not used as cheap labour, that would be soul destroying. If the government have things they want done they have to pay a wage. It is not the fault of the young people leaving school etc that there are no jobs, we have too many people in the country and hardly any industry left. We can't keep supporting every stray who comes our way.ViewDate:

Want to give blood? Tips for first-time donorsThought the age limit was 60. Used to give it every month as I had antibodies, they removed the cells they wanted then gave me the rest back again. Nothing to it if you don't mind needles and I had a nice cup of tea and a biscuit after.ViewDate:

Would you buy misshapen fruit and vegetables? When on holiday in Greece I can buy large od shaped tomatoes all over and they taste amazing. We must stop tasting things with our eyes. It's the super markets which must have things in uniform sizes and being bred for this purpose nothing on the veg shelf has any taste. This leads to great wastage and it's all wrong.ViewDate:

Do you find the greeting "Merry Christmas" offensive?More government interference, this used to be the country of free speech now we are told we must not offend others, what others, this is our country and it is a Christian country. I am an agnostic but still wish everyone MERRY CHRISTMAS and love to all.ViewDate:

Do you use self scan or do you prefer human contact? If I don't have a big load of shopping I like self scan and go through the quick scan with a few items, but usually end up arguing with the machine as it tells me to put my goods in the bag and I tell it to wait a b****y minute which does nothing for my image.ViewDate:

I rememberWe were lucky and had an inside loo, living in the country we didn't have a shop on the corner but we have an idyllic life but it was 24/7 hard labour for mothers. The good old days never seem that when I sink into a lovely foamy bath in our warm bathroom and remember Friday night baths in an icy room with frost on the inside of the windows. Were they the good old days or was it just that we were children with no responsibilities.ViewDate:
