New Tax Disc RulesSimple really. If you have not paid for road tax it also unlikely that you have an MOT or Car Insurance. Vehicle taxation is only issued to those cars already holding current MOT and Insurance. This is the answer to your question. Every registered vehicle in Britain will be on the DVLA computer as either: Taxed Under a SORN notice Untaxed Roadside ANPR cameras (which cover most of the roads we all drive on) will instantly identify those vehicles without Tax, MOT or Insurance. So will those cameras fitted to Police vehicles, service areas, car parks etc. So the opportunity to use a vehicle on the road illegally will become more and more difficult. Of course, our sinful natures will always temp some to drive 'illegally'. That's the nature of sin! Happily (in the case of vehicle insurance) most people do not allow the full reign of their sinful to extend to Road Fund Taxation. Regards Kevin
