UK and the EU: Better off out or in?Bazzer, I can sympathise with your views on the running of the EU; the whole system badly needs changing. There is a lot of corruption in the Towers of Europe, but there is also a lot of hypocrisy, too. For example, while Nigel Farage is happy to slang the EU at every opportunity, he is taking the maximum amount possible in expenses from it. You don't mention which 'fourth party' you will be voting for in the forthcoming election, but please think carefully before giving fuel to the fire of nationalism!ViewDate:

UK and the EU: Better off out or in?The EU is not perfect, by any means, but I think Britain would be much worse outside the Union than within it. Quite apart from the trading issues, there is the danger of nationalism raising its ugly head; this is an issue that tends to start wars. We had two conflicts in the last century that became global. Do we really want to risk another world war by becoming isolated from the rest of Europe? -
