What’s the naughtiest thing your pet has done at Christmas? My cat, at the time, climbed my christmas tree. It kept falling over. I put a large screw into the wall and tied it to that. Visitors always asked, " why have you a big screw in yor wall"?ViewDate:

World Mental Health Day: 8 simple ways nature can improve your wellbeingI have a wood adjoining my house. Waking up in a morning to the sight of beautiful trees and the various birds and squirrels always put me in a good mood. Unfortunately my neighbours thought differently. They chopped down those overhanging their garden, god knows why, apart from mowing they do not do any gardening at all. They have killed some and it makes me sad to see the bare branches of a tree which would sport the most glorious red leaves in autumn. Pure vandalism.ViewDate:

Items you have had for years and won't throw away. - [DELETED_MEMBER]I dont have a tee shirt but do have a hawiian shirt I bought twenty years ago in a designer shop in New York. They did not have any womens clothes in my size so I bought a mans shirt! It no longer fits but its a reminder of a fantastic holiday with my best friends. Makes me smile every time I see it.ViewDate:

Our love affair with ice cream - but where did it all begin? When visiting relatives in Middlesex I always looked forward to the icecream mans van. They sold a cornet with strawberry sauce, it was called a Saucy Tanner. They did not sell this in Yorkshire. It was delicious.ViewDate:

From frozen fish fingers to vegan cuisine: Food trends through the decadesWe did not have “cookery classes” we had Domestic science. We were taught basic household skills, sewing, cookery, basic hygiene. Might be a good idea to bring that back for all. One thing I do remember is to tie or cover your hair when cooking. Use utensils in cooking not fingers. I cringe when I watch cheffy programmes, ladies with long hair swinging around above food, chefs mauling their food like it is playdoh. Ugh.ViewDate:

Is a second national lockdown for vulnerable over 50s the right way forward?Getting fed up with all different opinions etc. I am thoroughly depressed with it all. Are you a 'Silver Streamer'?I,m not a silver streamer, whatever that is, but my husband has the tv on from 10.a.m. until 01.a.m. I am sick of american crime. Sick of adverts. At the moment we are barraged by insurance and funeral plans during the day and , if evening advertising is anything to go by, women are incontinent, constipated, need help finding menstrual aids, and whirl around like dervishes. If I was a bloke all this would put me off women completely. Is nothing private anymore. I see now they are advertising underwear to stop chafing at top of blokes legs. A very well endowed man strutting around showing his crown jewels. Bleurgh.ViewDate:

The Ideal Fashion Retailer You Need To Know AboutFinding clothes for mature bigger ladies made in U.K. is difficult. I want to support our own industries. Marks and Spencer used to be the place to go but I understand the younger customers complained they were unfashionable and expensive. I am sick of everything I touch being chinese made. Facts about checkers (or draughts!)Yes, I play with my great nephew. Many years ago I played with my sister, she was about seven I was five years older. After my winning a few games she threw the board in the air shouting “you are cheating, you are older than me”. Sixty years later I am still chuckling. I try to ensure my young player wins a few games.ViewDate:

5 health benefits of swimming – for body and mindI used to go swimming after work. Then one day I am swimming along and a gentleman came swimming towards me. The chlorine was evidently irritating his nose, the result was not pretty! Next time I saw a young boy standing on the side of the bath, peeing into the water. That was it for me, never swam again.ViewDate:

Do you feel that freedom of speech is becoming restricted in the UK?I am sick of being corrected. I am sick of people changing words and phrases because it might upset someone. What about me? Nobody cares if I am upset at being continually corrected by the younger generation. In fact, I never gave racism or special needs a thought until it was continually brought to my notice. Fed up of it all..ViewDate:

My mother’s in a care home and isolating has made her so miserableI had to put my mum into care, she had dementia. I could put up with her disappearing to the bus stop to go home to her mum and dad most days, but leaving gas fire and hob unlit became dangerous for us all. Her sister and two daughters ensured she had a visitor every other day. The care home was like a five star hotel. Whenever she was asked what she had done that day she would say “nothing, I dont talk to them, i sit here by myself everyday. Big fibs! We stopped announcing our visit, would sneak up to her floor. Dancing, singing, laughing! As soon as she saw us her face would drop. “Look what they make me do, look at that silly old bugger over there, I dont like him”. Total personality change. She was always so kind, never spoke ill of anyone! Hopefully your mum improves.ViewDate:

Are you deterred from going on a cruise or happy to keep sailing? Not likely. Our last cruise was a nightmare. Problems with the plumbing, trying to find a toilet was a nightmare running from deck to deck. An old gentleman in the lift sneezed on me, must have been virulent! spent two days recovering in bed. Shame because the dining room , bar and cabin staff were lovely. The crew were very snooty! Since then I have learned how poorly paid these staff were so, no, will not be going again.ViewDate:
