Looking to chat with like minded membersHi Starry. Read your post and can somewhat relate to you. I'm 53, single and have no kids. Altho I'm not really alone, I do wonder how things will be like for me in the near future. I'm a bit worried TBH. Reaching out to others is a good thing. Someone will come in time. Like you, I struggle a bit with married friends esp those with nasty husbands. Whatever you do, don't feel sorry for yourself, regretting the things you did or didnt do. I know it's easier said than done. I'm on the other side of the planet so if you want to talk to someone and your friends are all asleep, you can ping me. CheersViewDate:

Are face exercises advisable for middle-aged women?Hahaha i think all of us become a bit delusional when we get to a certain age. I keep a few, er, a lot, of the clothes I used to wear ih my 20s hoping I would fit into them again one day. Lol I probably didnt do the exercises correctly then. :( You look amazing. I should warn you tho about undereye exercises. They literally made my eyebags look worse. What seems to work for me are face massages. I managed to massage away the deep wrinkles between my brows.ViewDate:

English GrammarI'm a non-native English speaker; so I like to read discussion boards on grammar. What I find somewhat amusing is that some people who express utter disdain for the grammatically challenged have spelling and syntax errors in their post/s. Sometimes, those with a high and mighty tone are the ones whose grammar and spelling I'm tempted to correct. But I don't.ViewDate:

Hair lose and sensitive skinReplied earlier but it seems my post didnt get thru. Just sharing some beauty tricks that work for me.. Honey mixed with your conditioner will make your hair soft. Coconut oil ( leave it in your hair overnight then shampoo in the morning) gives your hair a healthy glow. Rice water aids in hair regrowth and makes your hair strands somewhat thicker. I havent tried coffee which some claim darkens grey hair.ViewDate:

Fashion and Beauty HacksOh i think I like sporty chic Eloise! I probably will still try a couple of trendy stuff every now and then. I'll just throw them away If people go "Ewww!" Lol I loooove stillettos but they dont love me back anymore. I mean, the agony of d feet! Like you Carole, I was always in stilettos. I worked in advertising and I could run like Forrest Gump in high heels whenever I had death -defying deadlines lol. I wear flats most of the time now which dont really suit me cos I'm petite. Nothing too tight too short or too pink. Hahaha Ok that will be my fashion mantra from now on Tr1sh. I've had some, er, a lot of stiletto incidents in the past too. I think boots are cool altho theyre really not always appropriate in tropical places where it's either too hot or too "floody." Is that a word? Lol It would be nice if we could post pics here of outfits we see online for inspiration. Then maybe we could "fashion police" each other :)ViewDate:

Fashion and Beauty HacksYes CaroleAH I've seen her vids. I use pencil sometimes but it tends to pull my skin. I play with different colors of eyehadow to line my eyes. Nothing flashy tho Hi Trish I still haven't quite figured out what is good for me (i'm in a fashion limbo) but I do know what's not --- my super short bodycon dresses lol TBH i think people should wear whatever they want to wear for as long as it looks good on them and they feel comfy. But recently i ve been seeing matured women dressing like teens and they look desperate. One of them wearing an ensemble that I have in my closet. Lol That triggered my wardrobe purging project.ViewDate:

Fashion and Beauty HacksHi CaroleAH, I used to feel naked without my liquid black eyeliner. But I started noticing a couple of years ago that it was aging me more. So i ditched it. I use eyeshadow now nstead. Im getting rid of my clothes that i feel are not appropriate for my age. Struggling what to replace them with.ViewDate:

Would you volunteer to be euthanased?Yes, if under any of the following circumstances: 1. In a coma 2. In a lot of paiin 3. Terminally ill I wouldnt want to be a burden to anyone. If I am bedridden but can talk and/or write and I'm not in pain, then. i probably would explore options on how to make myself productive. My life, my death, my choice.ViewDate:

How do you cope with your aches and pains?I had a torn rotator cuff a couple of years ago which took about 10 months to heal. I didnt take the painkillers prescribed by my doctor. I took turmeric and pineapple instead. Their active ingredients, curcumin and bromelain respectively, , can help reduce infllammation.. My pain was reduced by 50% each time I took them. Needless to say, I prefer natural treatments.. -
