Is Labour's new WASPI promise credible?Yes our pension is not a benefit, we paid class A into this , not the reduced class B for married women who ended up with a token gesture of a pension until their husbands retired. If we are unable to do the strenuous jobs some are doing ladies will need sickness benefit which is a benefit, some are doing this already if unable to work. These women would have now been on a state pension, paid for, for 35 plus years. No one minds paying National insurance into the NHS as it provides our GP, Dentist ( if you can get one ) etc... But even the current pension would be enough for a lot of ladies to live on instead of holding onto jobs. Many of us have elderly parents, grown up children with children of their own. The role of grandparents was to help with childcare etc... as their children have to work full time for a pension they will NEVER get. My own children are aware a government pension will never exist. But can’t pay enough into a private or works pension as they’re paying high rents etc...ViewDate:

Is Labour's new WASPI promise credible? It will never happen, it’s just a ploy to win votes. I am one of those women who will lose approx £62,000 as my retirement went from 60 to 68.. I have a job which will be near impossible at age 68 as it’s hard enough now. But government are not going to give me that money back.i have alreadyqualify for a full class A pension at 60 just like thousands of others at this time. We will get nothing just slog our guts out until 68 which will no doubt be 75 by the time we get to 68. Don’t fall for it any of you ladies. Keep working and steal jobs from the young people as we have no other option now. Most of us would have retired at 60 giving our jobs to young people, now we can’t unless we are politicians who will get their fat pensions at 60. We had no time to prepare for this. Our lost pension can enable people to have free nhs care by just arming in the country.
