Would you eat lab-grown meat?I'd be OK with it. It'll be a few years before they can get it tasting and feeling like 'organic' meat but it's no different from the skin they grow in labs for grafts - it will be real meat.ViewDate:

Should controversial statues around the country be removed? It's not about altering or ignoring history. It's about glorifying it by putting whacking great statues to the people who made their fortunes by enslaving others.ViewDate:

Should controversial statues around the country be removed? But we don't need to glorify that part of our history by erecting statues.ViewDate:

Should controversial statues around the country be removed?'THERE IS A LOT OF MODERN DAY SLAVERY HAPPENING NOW..YOUNG WOMEN FORCED INTO THE SEX TRADE...GANG MASTERS..'. The statues don't seem to have helped much.ViewDate:

Should controversial statues around the country be removed? Many of these statues went up 200 years ago and we don't seem to have learned much about racism during that time. I don't think the statues are working!ViewDate:

Should controversial statues around the country be removed?'Only focusing on one aspect of that person's life'? I'm told Hitler was quite kind to animals but that doesn't seem to have earned him any statues. Profiting from slavery to the extent they did (and I'm sure their consciences told them it was wrong) overrides an awful lot of good deeds.ViewDate:

Should controversial statues around the country be removed? It's unlikely that there was any debate or consultation with the public when most of these statues were erected.ViewDate:

Should controversial statues around the country be removed? But we shouldn't glorify this aspect of it either.ViewDate:

Should controversial statues around the country be removed? We cannot alter history but we can ensure that the nastier parts of it are not glorified.ViewDate:

Should the Government launch a food-rationing scheme? No need. After the stockpiling surge, things seem to be settling down again and people are shopping as normal. It still makes sense to limit sales of things like toilet rolls and paracetamol for a few days but, apart from that, no need. If things get worse - imports being restricted due to production problems in other countries or issues at our docks and airports - then it might be time to reconsider.ViewDate:

Is the UK Government doing enough to lessen the spread of Covid-19?We're being told that the UKG is following the scientific evidence and advice. It's strange then that no other country is taking the same approach. Are British scientists better than those in the rest of the world? I'd like to see more of this 'scientific evidence'. Something a bit more detailed than 'scientists say'.ViewDate:

Will you be sending Christmas cards this year?I'll buy one for my mum but that's about it. If every one who gets a card from me is anything like me, it'll be a case of 'Lovely, a card. Stick it on the mantle-piece and then chuck it in the bin on the 6th'.ViewDate:

Even moderate amounts of bacon and red meat linked to bowel cancerThe government report has a whiff of scaremongering about it. There's somewhere around a 4% chance of contracting bowel cancer so a 20% increase only takes that up to less than a 5% chance. Worth it for the lovely taste of a bacon roll, if you ask me. -
