Do you support Boris's decision to suspend Parliament?I don’t know why you even mentioned the job losses in the financial sector which affected far more than just London, I worked in banking & watched thousands loose their jobs., & worried for mine constantly as I was elderly & they were proactively working the older people out. This happened before Brexit was even thought of, so we can’t blame it on Brexit. I’m old enough to have seen that we have been loosing jobs & industry for decades, nothing to do with Brexit, but it did seem to happen after we joined the EU & most of our industry moved abroad. As for Boris stabbing everyone in the back, well I suppose Labours last term in office was a great success taking us into a war that was none of our business & leaving the country bankrupt. I was brought up by elderly grandparents who lived through two world wars & also knew what true hardships were, they had no NHS & no benefits & no food banks. If you didn’t work you didn’t eat, if you couldn’t afford a doctor you died & Christmas was alway a very poor affair. My grandad had to work till his mid 70’s & I had to leave school at 15 & work a 40 hour week because no one could afford to keep me on at school. As a working class kid had no hope of going to university like they do today I think people today don’t really know what true poverty is & expect the government (whoever is in power) to cover the cost of everything from paying for their child care, much longer maternity leave than we could only of dreamed of, including the father if there is one. Some families around me are now on their third generation of none workers & in truth they have as much as me. They don’t work not because of lack of jobs, but mostly because of addiction problems of one kind or another or lack of desire to work, I suppose that’s the governments fault too! As for worrying about affording their mortgages, you are talking to a woman who had to sell her house when the interest rates rose to over 15% at the beginning of the 90’s, again nothing to do with Brexit but we were in the EU, maybe it was their fault. I just think it’s time people stopped blaming either the Conservatives or Brexit for all their problems, we’ve always had hard times as well as good, the poor have always been poor & rightly or wrongly always will wether we are in the EU or not. People need to get a bit of backbone & stop expecting that life will always be good, but at the same time stop always forecasting doom & gloom & Armageddon if we leave. We will survive, but the country as a whole will do far better the quicker this is sorted & the clowns in Parliament stop playing the blame game & just get on with it!ViewDate:

Do you support Boris's decision to suspend Parliament? My hopes & prayers are that Boris can actually finally get the job done & none of them self serving wingers & whiners in Parliament manage to put the blocks on again! I think our MP’s & the EU have had more than long enough to negotiate. It they haven’t reached any agreements by now they never will. It’s just a pity they didn’t do as much heart searching before they shoved us in the EU. The country needs to move on now & get on with whatever leaving the EU brings. So many distraught people are still worrying about their EU holidays & wether they will need a visa or not! I mean how hard is it to get a visa. On a more serious note, businesses need to know what they are doing & we need to get world wide trade deals in place. There will be short term inconveniences in leaving, of course there will be, & the BBC & other news stations will love to point it out to us every step of the way. The sooner we leave & deal with any fall out that transpires, , the sooner the economy & peoples spirits with lift.ViewDate:

Should seagulls be culled?Culling them may solve the immediate problem, but unless we stop feeding them & dropping rubbish everywhere they will be back, because just like rats & pigeons they go where they have an easy food source. I just find it sad that we create the problem in the first place, then our answer is always to kill everything. If they are culled what measures will be put in place to stop their return, will we be able to stop tourist dropping their half eaten food everywhere in seaside towns, will the streets of Birmingham suddenly become litter free, will the rubbish stacked outside peoples houses often spilling out of black bags disappear along with discarded takeaway food. I don’t think so do you? I’ve seen a few comments on here about them nesting in chimneys & sometimes falling down them, well please fit a cowl for the safety of all birds & to keep your chimneys clear. Maybe if humans weren’t the dirtiest & most selfish animal on the planet these animals would never have become such a problem in the first place.ViewDate:

Would you be happy sharing your local woodland with top predators? In theory it’s a nice idea & I would love it to be possible, but the UK is too crowded & too many forests have gone. I foresee nothing but problems with the idea. These animals like foxes would encroach on suburbia & farmland & then people would be poisoning & shooting them just like they do with foxes. We simply don’t have enough wild spaces far from human activity for this to work, it would be bad for both humans & the poor animals we introduce.ViewDate:

Would you feel comfortable going cashless? No I would not be comfortable. We are being forced towards a cashless society by the banks closing every branch in some towns like mine along with all the cash machines. There will always be the vulnerable in society to whom this will not be acceptable. Where there is internet banking there will always be fraud & where there are swipe cards pulled out every 5 minutes for tiny purchases, there will always be criminals with card reading machines.ViewDate:
