SueB412's bio
First of all, I am a Christian. Also vegetarian. I love outdoors, the fresh air, sea, rivers, mountains, woodlands. Reading, knitting and crochet are amongst my hobbies which is just as well since I have had to take a medical retirement due to having M. E. Although I am kept somewhat busy with two young Grand children. -

Do you wear a reusable face mask or a disposable one?I saw the best yet yesterday. A man with his really fancy expensive mask, on his forehead! Excellent, if there is any virus droplets that have landed on his head, he will be putting them straight in his lungs!!!!ViewDate:

Do you wear a reusable face mask or a disposable one?I wear a reusable one, which I put in the was each time. However ( there is usually a however!!) I have a disposable emergency mask in the bottom of my bag, for times I forget my reusable one. I have now bought new reusable ones to keep in my bag for emergencies, and intend putting them in the wash and remembering to replace it. (Of course I will remember!!!).ViewDate:

Asian Noodle Soup with Prawns and Chantenay CarrotsThis looks worth a go. With a couple of tweaks, since I follow a lchf diet. Also I don't eat meat (pescetarian?) So veg stock and konjack noodles (I think that's what they are called) My carbs have intentionally gone up just lately, so this looks ideal.ViewDate:

Will you be downloading the new tracing app today? From my own point of view, I wouldn't download it because of the Bluetooth issue. I understand and agree with your concerns. For years we have been told to turn Bluetooth off, because of its ability to be hacked, and now we are told to leave it on, without addressing the issue of safety. I won't download this app, until I am assured of its safety. Having said all that, my phone is probably not suitable anyway!!!!ViewDate:

New and fun things to do whilst self-isolatingI understand what you say. Some over 70s are far bigger than, let's say, some 20 year olds. Some 20 year olds are very unfit, whilst some over 70s are running marathons. There again some over 70s have health issues and need a little more care and understanding. It's not an easy situation by a long way. My daughter is stuck inside with 3 small children, the youngest is almost 3 (yes all her own, no twins!) They share a garden and can't get in to it because the neighbours children are always there. My daughter has to make playgrounds in her living room, or painting on the step. I'd suggest you keep in touch with people here. Maybe someone will have an idea to help.ViewDate:

Over-70s will be asked to self-isolate for up to four monthsI think that this would be a lot calmer if people didn't panic buy. The article mentions ww 2. It was a crime to stock pile then. I'm taking a food parcel to my daughter today, because she couldn't get much food yesterday, the shelves being empty of things such as beans, bread, nappies, butter. She has 3 young children to feed and only wants to get what she wants for the week, yet she can't because someone else has bought the lot, just in case!!!!ViewDate:

Clever uses for ZofloraI put a little in the bottom of the bin. Then when I change the bag, I rinse it out and put in fresh. Especially handy in my sons room, helps (helps!) to keep it smelling fresh!ViewDate:

Do you feel the need to stock up on hand sanitiser and soap?I have in the past used hand sanitiser, when I worked in an environment that required frequent hand washing but not always the time to do it, sometimes a quick squish of this surficed. I do have a small bottle in my bag, the same one since the ark, I use it, occasionally, when I can't get to wash my hands and I am about to eat, or such like. I frequently wash my hands as a matter of course and see no reason for regular use of sanitiser when hand washing done correctly is better. So, no I would not stock up on it, nor soap or toilet rolls!ViewDate:

Is the UK Government doing enough to lessen the spread of Covid-19?I agree (apart from the shooting bit!!!) I also feel people's idea of feeling ill differs. One person will sneeze and think they are dying another will plod on really poorly and not even notice. So self isolation if you feel unwell is a bit hit and miss.ViewDate:

Is the UK Government doing enough to lessen the spread of Covid-19?Personally, I would start back on normal life, with limits for a short while such as avoiding vulnerable people, (other conditions, elderly, babies etc) coughs can go on for months (my daughters certainly do, every November through until about April! Always have) you can't stay indoors for ever!ViewDate:

Is the UK Government doing enough to lessen the spread of Covid-19?I've just come back from Morrison, where they wouldn't handle my points card, been told not too apparently! Handled my money though, and gave me change!! Apart from that, I think about the Plague, they shut their selves indoors and look what happened to them! Just saying!ViewDate:

Should parents stop using chocolate for egg hunts?Goodness me, once again we have the Nanny Brigade on the prowl. Let parents chose what they want. Personally I would let my children take part in an Easter egg hunt, with chocolate. It's not every day. Children like to have fun, have treats too. You can always explain about moderation, if you really need to.ViewDate:

Silversurfers Book Club Winter 2019Just finished 'Our House', it took me longer to read than it would normally take me, not because I didn't enjoy it, far from it, I loved it. It was the tale of a young couple who separate following a couple of misdemeanours on the husbands part but it seems that is only a very small part of a large picture. I'm thinking of the saying 'oh what a Wonderful Web we we've when first we practice to decieve'.ViewDate:

Should daylight savings be abolished?I have a chronic illness and changing the clocks makes things worse. I'm tired for about a month which in turn causes pain, until my body gets used to the new time. So I'm all for abolishing the clock change malarkey!ViewDate:
