New member today typing with Arthritic handHi grayturner, sorry to hear about your arthritic hand. I know how limiting that can be when you're trying to get some mundane things done. What exercises have you been trying so far? Hopefully it's nothing too tasking because some of the most effective workouts tend to be the most basic. The idea is to maintain some mobility while keeping it gentle. Here are some basic hand exercises you can include in your repertoire: https://www.healthline.com/health/osteoarthritis/arthritis-hand-exercises#make-an-o You can also find some great tips to generally improve your hand ergonomics during typing here: http://ergonomictrends.com/proper-ergonomic-typing-posture-at-computer/ Medical news also have some tips on how to manage arthritis in hands: https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/319955.php Hope this helps!ViewDate:

5:2 Eating planI have never been a proponent of fad diets all my life as I subscribe to the school of thought that believes there are no shortcuts to weight loss - at least if you are looking to maintain it in the long-term. Exercise, good diet; exercise, good diet. That will win you the battle for sure. But I also believe we are entitled to spoil ourselves every so once in a while because life is too short to restrict yourself in the name of healthy eating. As far as diets go, Intermittent fasting is something that has recently turned my head. After all, it's not one of those diets that limit you to a green smoothie in the morning, 2 egg whites for lunch and one baby carrot for dinner. I've not tried it myself, but various studies are waxing lyrical about, and it also seems to be getting a nod from some influential sites. So I would say, if you don't want to take the long road, go for the 5:2 and see where it leads you. It's the best way to find out, right?ViewDate:

Just joined so I'm introducing myself.Hi Silver Surfers! Bill here, my friends call me Don, but either of the three can work. I live in Farnborough, but have spent much of the past 14 years in Melbourne. While the change has mostly been due to personal reasons, I love to think of myself as a world citizen. There is something about staying in a single place for too long that does my mind in, so I love to move around whenever responsibility allows. I just happened across this awesome community as I was looking up some clean eating pointers. Thought I would drop a line in and hopefully engage you from time to time. Cheers -
