What's the best romance film?Dr Zhivago - there is nothing about this film that doesnt send a tingle down my spine every time I see it .. the storyline, the actors, the stunning scenery. It has everything a film should have and keeps you captivated all the way through.ViewDate:

Will you be sending Christmas cards this year?So many people look forward to receiving cards, and to sending them out to family and friends, to show they are being thought of , not just at christmas but all year round. They can be kept to remind people of their loved ones, unlike e-cards which -once read - are usually deleted. Me... i love a good card - Christmas, or otherwise..ViewDate:

Does the thought of families being allowed to mix over Christmas make you feel anxious or relieved?..... and what about New Years Eve - will people be allowed to party in large groups/gatherings, indoors/ outdoors? I hope not .... a pandemic is a pandemic it doesnt go away just because of festive celebrations. A 3rd lockdown is imminent I'm afraid.ViewDate:

In Pictures: Final flight – Heathrow waves goodbye to BA’s Boeing 747sBeautiful aircraft, saw the first one fly into Heathrow over our house in Bedfont (which was under the main flight path). The media were out in force outside our house to witness it - much to mothers annoyance!! First time we flew on it was 1972 and there was a brass plaque in the cabin stating "this aircraft was the largest landmass to (ever) leave the ground"! Flew on this wonderful aircraft many times will always have a soft spot for the Queen of the Skies. Concorde gone, BA 747s gone, 380 going . Sad ......ViewDate:

Should parents be fined for not sending their children back to school?parents would be fined for not sending their children to school anyway - so lets get them back. We should not let this virus take over our lives more than it has done. All the children we know want to go back.ViewDate:

Would you be happy to have a drive-through flu jab this year?I think its a good idea - as long as its sterile and safe, why not.ViewDate:

Will you opt for the flu jab this year?Of course I will - have been having the flu jab for years - even when I wasnt entitled to the free dose at the doctors, I paid for it at Boots. It is there to help us all and I think if it is being offered to a wider range of people it should be taken up.ViewDate:

Do you use chemical weed killer? If boiling water doesn't/cant get rid of the worst of the weeds, then I have to put up my hands to using weed killer on the path/patio. I do use soapy water to eradicate those pesky aphids on roses, beans etc. and salt around plants to deter snails/slugs. Hubby goes one better with hoeing!!ViewDate:

Would you be happy to visit a National Trust garden next week?I would love to visit any NT property near to where we live. My only concern is that there will not be any toilets or food outlets open -- oh dear! I know you could take your own sandwiches/drinks with you - but we all need to use the toilet, so that is the big concern.ViewDate:

Would you feel confident taking a holiday flight from 1st July?Wouldn't dream of flying anywhere this year BUT I'll be the first one on board with Malaysian in February 2021.....hahaha. The only concern I would have is travel insurance and if the insurance companies intend to cover Coronovirus I am sure either way we will see a rise in airfares and travel insurance.ViewDate:

Is it realistic to expect over 70s to remain in their homes for 4 months? No, no, no - doesn't bear thinking about. People are sensible and, with guidelines, should be able to make their own decisions and, with social distancing and wearing of masks, be able to venture out again. Or how about testing all over 70s to ensure they are clear of the virus before they can go out- after our brave frontline staff of course.Think of those people, who are on their own, who have no family nearby and now need to get out - after following the current lockdown rules - even for 1/2 days a week - to just see other people, and for their own mental health welfare. There are people with health issues younger than 70, Is this not ageism - protect, but with an amount of freedom?ViewDate:

Is it realistic to expect over 70s to remain in their homes for 4 months?I am angry and upset at the 4 month suggestion of self isolation for people aged over 70. Why this amount of time when the "norm" is 2 weeks - surely it is a form of discrimination? How are people on their own, with no family nearby; with friends/neighbours of the same age as themselves, and no internet/social media to cope with the loneliness etc? The over 70's can still protect themselves with hand washing, sanitizers etc - the same as everyone else - surely?ViewDate:
