Menopause is robbing my sleep ... any tips welcomeHerewith a couple of the obvious tips: No caffeine or cigarettes after 6pm and don't overload on fluids of any kind. Google 'sleep hygiene' and you will find lots of stuff which will repeat what follows to an extent anyway.. This concept is based around 1. how many hours do you need and 2 what time do you wish to get up. You then establish a routine to 'reset' you biological clock/circadian rhythm. So if you need 8 hours and have to get up at 7am? Don't go to bed before 11pm. Beds are for sleep or 'more intimate activities' only. No reading, no TV watching. If you are awake after 20 minutes, get up and do a pre-planned activity that is relaxing. (Don't do your accounting at this time of night.) You repeat this procedure regardless of what type of night you have had and then - crunch time - you get up when the alarm goes at 7am. You will need to stick this out for a bit as it is not a 'one night fix' but there is a lot of research behind what I have written.ViewDate:

Is this Sciatica? It certainly sounds like it. One of the tests a doctor will do is lie you on your back and then left your straightened leg. Normal it gets to around ninety (I could use the numerals as they entered '90') degrees. with sciatica, pain usually restricts your leg elevation to significantly less than that.
