Do you choose organic, unprocessed food?Ecarg I order a lot of ,y food from Riverford organic farm. Guy watson informs you each week about his organic farming ventures. He is passionate to educate and grow this natural means of growing foods. I cut out expensive wasteful junk food and drink items and happily pay a bit extra. I feel blessed to be able to put clean, healthy nutritious food in my body and my families when they are around visiting. Which is often because they know mum and (nan )will have an healthy home cooked meal on the table.ViewDate:

PermacultureEcarg that’s brilliant. I really feel like it would be brilliant if more people grew their own food. So many people are now flagging their gardens and putting a few tubs about. I understand it can be hard work. But exercise is good for us all. My father in law managed his veg patches until he was 85. I am sure it was his gardening kept him so healthy.ViewDate:

PermacultureEcarg it’s not the digging up lawns and growing veg. It’s the whole concept of the garden still looking like a garden. Lawn, flowers and food mixed in. Like we put strawberry plants everywhere among the flowers. Onions and potatoes at the top edge of a lawn that we had cut a foot off. Obviously around the back it is just lawns dug up and raised beds. At the front however on passing it just looks like a normal garden. Obviously instead of ornamental trees and bushes it’s fruit trees and bushes.ViewDate:

PermacultureArchie permaculture is a trend. Why waste garden on all lawns and flowers. Grow as much edible produce as you can. Mixed in with flowers etc. So your garden still looks suburban but is very productive.ViewDate:

PermacultureDay dream that is brilliant. I am on an estate. We have slowly started digging the front lawn so the neighbours don’t notice. I have put a thornless blackberry bush along the back fence it has gone crazy.......I did purple sprouting broccoli. With little tops appearing. But the leaves are like triffids. We got a few caterpillars but the amount of broccoli leaves we have used as cabbage is amazing and it tastes great. We had loads of yummy Victoria plums but the tree looks very infected with something. I need to research a bit.ViewDate:

PermacultureI have dug up part of two lawns and put in raised beds. I have also planted fruit trees and bushes all around my garden. I have all the herbs mixed in with the flowers. We have had a great crop. It’s all organic. Anyone else on here doing this sort of thing.ViewDate:
