Who would you like to see succeed the Queen - Prince Charles or Prince William? If the Queen lives another twenty-five years, you may get your wish in a way, but I am sure Charles would still be King even if William was doing the work.ViewDate:

Who would you like to see succeed the Queen - Prince Charles or Prince William?I absolutely agree. Charles is the heir to the throne and it is his right to be King next. I am sure he will make a good King but it is unlikely to be a long reign. He is also very inclusive and knows the Commonwealth well. He has always done an enormous amount of good charity work. He started his foundation when he was a very young man and has helped thousands of youngsters. Young people (other than those helped by the Princes' Trust) might not realise what a lot of good he does. I think William will make a very good King when the time comes but he should have more time to enjoy his family whilst he can which, in turn will be better for Prince George and his brother and sister. The Queen had to take over at a time when Prince Charles and Princess Anne were very little and it must have been difficult for her to fit in enough family life. Why put that pressure on William?ViewDate:

Should over 70s be banned from voting on the country's future?Empire supporting? You have got a long memory. There is nothing wrong in being British and supporting the Queen. By the way, have you seen all those EU flags being waved about in Parliament Square? So glad Boris had the Union Jacks put back. Are you suggesting elderly people don't watch the news? Many people have been watching with disgust at the antics of rebels in Parliament and refusal of the opposition to hold an election. There is constant talk of it at my local club. Have you considered what the situation of Britain will be like when the EU has completed its 'closer union"? The EU plans to take over control of our armed forces and have one overall foreign policy and if we are still in the EU we will have no say in what happens. Remain were denying the EU army idea and said Leave were making it up but the EU announced it so no more mention of it from Remain.ViewDate:

Should over 70s be banned from voting on the country's future? The question was about over 70s being denied the vote because young people aged 16 plus think they know better. The young people are the ones 'pitting' one generation against another. We over 70s should have a right of reply. It is nothing to do with the Tories - more likely Momentum.ViewDate:

Should over 70s be banned from voting on the country's future? It would be unreasonably unjust to take away the vote from people over 70. There could be all sorts of things voted for that would affect over 70s badly. Young people, especially those between 16-18 have had little experience of life or work so could make very bad decisions. It is they who should not have the vote. Perhaps under 21s as well. Do these young people know the history of how difficult it was to get the vote in the first place, especially for women? Re Brexit, do they know what the EU's plans are for the near future? Do they know the current state of the EU, particularly the Euro which all EU countries will have to sign up to under the 'closer union' plans. No, I thought not.
