If only I had a magic wand! If I did have one I would wave it over this very frustrating web site and suddenly it would be such a joy to use! I’m done. My time is valuable, and I’m not going to spend one more moment dealing with a mess someone else so carelessly made. -

Just joined so I'm introducing myself.Ward, I totally agree with you! This web site is just terrible to navigate. I’d like to sit down with the web page developer to fix this mess. I’m certain numerous people have simply given up on trying to use this web site. Really?!!? It just doesn’t have to be this way. I suggest that whomever has control of this web site’s design/tools should make changes immediately.ViewDate:

New from ScotlandHello Pauline, You are blessed to be living in Scotland. I live in the US, and I am eager to visit the Highlands. I took a few art lessons about 10 years ago but stopped after the second lesson because though the teacher was an excellent artist, she wasn’t an excellent teacher. Not long after I stopped going to her class, I began drawing with a friend at her kitchen table in the evening. What I discovered from actually drawing (rather than just thinking about drawing!) was that I had potential and the more I drew pictures the better I became. A fun exercise is to place a photograph in front of you upside down and draw what you see. The results are amazing. I knitted about 3 scarves, and then years later when I tried to do it again, I couldn’t, even though I was using the same instruction book. I finally gave up, though I know that someday I’ll try again. But not soon! I have enjoyed reading all of Diana Gabaldon’s books in the “Outlander “ series. Have you read them or seen the TV series with the same name? DebbieViewDate:

New member stopping by to say HelloI think you have a great idea - Live in a little cottage in the Scottish Highlands and enjoy the gorgeous countryside. I am about speechless when I look at photos of the Highlands. I will go there one day! There is a great book titled “Write It Down, Make It Happen.” I tried that 10 years ago and ended up in Maine. It works!ViewDate:

Ballroom DancingHello, I used to ballroom dance quite a bit until I lost my beloved partner. My very favorite dance is the waltz. Several years ago, I attended a dance in Bar Harbor, Maine, and we all waltzed the entire evening. I’d love to do that again, Have you a partner? I do hope so. DebbieViewDate:

Hello, just joined and finding my way round.Hello Chrissa, Among a lot of other activities, I too enjoy walking, reading, and genealogy. Lately, I’ve been spending way too much time on genealogy, and really should be walking more. Unfortunately, I’ll never be teased again about being thin! I’m in the US and wondering if many people in your area have been getting their DNA tested. I received results from ancestry and there were no surprises, just percentages. DebbieViewDate:

Pen palsHello, At the top of my bucket list is a visit to the Scottish Highlands. The photos I’ve seen of the Highlands on the Internet are so amazingly beautiful! I spoke to a woman several years ago who had been to Scotland,, and she said that Scotland is so much like Maine (USA) that there’s no reason to go there. I totally disagree. I’ve been reading a great deal about many beautiful places in Scotland. My challenge now is to decide the best time to go. It would be wonderful to see few tourists on the NC 500! Too late! The secret is out! -
