Is it realistic to expect over 70s to remain in their homes for 4 months? The assumptions with this are huge. Distancing is important but not isolation inside own homes and certainly not for 4 months. Allowing that we have 2 weeks left of March we are talking about this until nearly the end of July- ridiculous. Just because we are 70 and over does not mean, as a mass, we are incapable of reasoning and taking very sensible decisions as to what suits us and the rest of our community best. Those with underlying conditions need to be protected more and that is a separate issue. Let sense prevail. If the bible says we get 3 score years and 10 (70) and death is absolutely 100% guaranteed let those of us who are over 70 and hail and hearty live our lives as we want. Let us walk outside and breath the fresh air. That will help us more than anything. Just a final question if we disagree and decide to break any rules that are imposed who will tell us off and how will they reprimand us? Mind you there is always someone ready to become the rules police.ViewDate:

Should we rule out imported chlorinated chicken from the USA?We need to support our farmers to raise and produce meat and poultry for our home market. We should only buy and use UK chickenViewDate:

Do you take HRT?Since the very early and sudden onset on the menopause at 46 I have taken HRT. I am now in my 18th year and fully discuss the situation each year with my GP. My principal reason was a huge risk of osteoporosis with my mother, sister and aunt all being debilitated by it. As we do not, thankfully, have a history of breast cancer in our family the risks of that balanced against the osteoporosis benefits enabled me to decide that I wished to continue taking it. Everyone needs to be informed fully and not necessarily by headline grabbing buzz statements. Even although my own experience has been and hopefully will continue to be positive I do not encourage friends or family either way but to be come informed, balance decisions and make their own choices. Lastly if I were to develop breast cancer and there was a direct link I wouldn't blame anyone nor anything. We all make choices. We all die. HRT has brought many positive benefits to me including the ability to still undertake many activities denied yo other family members. Like Chrissy below I hope I am allowed to continue for the rest of my life.ViewDate:

Win one of 5 copies of 'A Beautiful Collection - The Best Of' by Carole King! It's CAROLE not Carol King. If she's so important to you get the spelling of her name correct. From another CAROLE PS her music is superb and timeless
