AgingGratefully's bio
I am the caregiver for two, my 87-year-old mother and my 71-year-old husband, a kidney dialysis patient who has had a stroke and suffers from something called expressive aphasia and apraxia. I spend a great deal of time shuttling back and forth between doctor visits. Not the way I had envisioned spending my retirement years but even so most days still have me wanting to get up for the next. I enjoy reading. I like to write short stories. I love to listen to music, garden, and I do a great deal of what my sons like to call "cooking from scratch." Having a loved one with diabetes and on dialysis pretty much dictates that one has to cook from 'scratch.' I am looking foward to getting to know some of you Silversurfers over time. :)
