What are weight loss injections and what’s the controversy?Absolute waste of drug needed for diabetics. It doesn't stop anyone from eating junk food or over eating. The best way and safest way to loose weight is to eat healthy home prepared food and moderate unhealthy eating habitsViewDate:

How have garden insects fared this summer?my garden has bloomed better this year than any other. The slugs and snails have had a feast especially with my hostas, the caterpillars have scoffed my cabbages, every day a few more cabbage whites break out, the bee,s are huge and the wasps plentiful. Possibly because in the northwest we have had plenty of rain and not a lot of "heat wave".ViewDate:

Should all Christmas parties be off this year?have you had the vax, have your relatives, why are you so scared of those that haven't. You could have had the vax and still pass the virus on or even catch it. If the vax is so wonderful why are those who are vaxed still catching the virus repeatedly and still dying. Just because someone does not have the jab it does not mean they do not take other precautions to protect themselves and others. If your scared, worried about relatives, stay at home, take precautions but stop transferring your own fears and ineptitudes onto others . If you think drinking heavily is only self destructive tell that to those who have had family killed by drunk drivers or even drunks starting fights. Why should obese people, unhealthy , sports injuries etc not go to the back of the queue at triage as well, after all they chose to do the "dangerous" activitiesViewDate:

4 types of headaches and what they’re trying to tell youI get a migraine at least once a month. Lasts about 10 minutes. No head ache though, just the loss of vision in one eye. I was quite shocked to be told it was just an ocular migraine. No idea how or why it happensViewDate:

Should wearing a face mask be compulsory in shops?Thank you for your condescending reply, if you bothered reading the full thread you would see that as a scrub nurse and lead infection control nurse I have had 20 years of experience and research . There is no agreement between scientist as to the efficiency of wearing face masks and coverings that are being worn. If you want to discuss the regulated PPE that does work, that is a totally different scenario.ViewDate:

Should wearing a face mask be compulsory in shops?no scientists have yet agreed on the use of face masks, and what "face masks" is the research being conducted on ? To be honest I can not be bothered reading it because the research is so conflicting depending on who has carried it out and I can't see how these simple face masks suddenly protect the wearer when for years they have just been used to protect the wearer from body fluid splashes and in some extent to stop the wearer from "spraying droplets" into open wounds when talking over a surgical site .ViewDate:

Should wearing a face mask be compulsory in shops? There is no waterproof layer, if you have to wear a mask I would suggest a face shield is probably best, they are waterproof and protect the eyes. The best advice is wash your hands and dont touch your face.ViewDate:

Should wearing a face mask be compulsory in shops?masks are semi-permeable otherwise you would not be able to breathe through them. Particles as small as viruses pass through and some get trapped in the moisture within the mask produced when breathing. When you breath out a more concentrated amount of particles are then expelled because its not just what is in your breath but also what is collecting in the mask too, if you cough, sneeze, whistle etc, the collected particles are expelled in a projectile fashion. Hope I have explained that clearly.ViewDate:

Should wearing a face mask be compulsory in shops? After 4 minutes of wear any virus that builds up in the mask will be ejected en masse every time the wearer breaths out and coughing or sneezing projects that collected mass further. 20 years of being a theatre nurse and infection control lead training and research has suddenly become nonsense in the bid for wearing face masks. My cynical analytical mind wonders whyViewDate:

Should wearing a face mask be compulsory in shops?until the wearer coughs or sneezes then any bacteria, germs etc ,that have accumulated in the mask are ejected in a much greater volumeViewDate:

Should wearing a face mask be compulsory in shops?I find it very confusing that while research shows that face masks are only effective for about 4 minutes, suddenly they are the solution for prevention of transmission of covid 19.ViewDate:

Would you be happy to use Alexa to search the NHS website to answer your health questions?some people panic where health is concerned and knowing the information was from the NHS could calm their fears. The idea is not to replace your GP , just provide infoViewDate:

Would you be happy to use Alexa to search the NHS website to answer your health questions? It would be a lot safer than looking up a symptom online and getting the vast range of answers available. For example a headache search on google gives explanations from stress to a brain tumourViewDate:
