Have you ever given your car a name? After passing my driving test aged 18 in 1962 I bought my first car It was a 1936 Morris 8 and cost £30.00. It had leather seats a single windscreen wiper, indicators and I often had to crank start it. I was very proud of my car which was not a gift from mum and dad and lovingly called her Emily. I eventually sold her to a vintage car collector and would love to think she is still around today.ViewDate:

Are we on a countdown to chaos? The difference between the Costa del Sol beaches and Brighton and Bournemouth yesterday was staggering. The Spanish beaches were regularly patrolled and under control. That is not happening here - result chaos. The simple answer is to get people back to work and children back to school, be respectful, aware and accept the changes.ViewDate:

Would you be happy to visit a National Trust garden next week?Double income for NT - no recognition of loyalty for its members. I have written and complained but guess what NO REPLY. Keep trying your properties. I did get lucky and two tickets popped up for Clumber Park. It's hard work and could be much more helpful for members but they have seen an opportunity and like the rest taken advantage.ViewDate:

Would you be happy to visit a National Trust garden next week?we are members and would love to go but can't get tickets. NT are selling to non members and we don't get a chance. Our membership fee was paid in March and we haven't visited any properties yet this year. Why arn't they giving priority to members like golf clubs?ViewDate:

Are you getting dressed for social distancing?I have a part time job which has finished for the time being so my daily programme has to change. It would be easy to get up late and slob around but I am trying to reprogramme and do something every day I feel proud of. I am going for an isolated run on alternate days and walking with my husband (who is in the vulnerable category) on the others. Gardening whilst the sun shines, trying to be a bit more adventurous with my cooking and following every fitness video I can find - bellydancing this morning - couldn't do it. I am keeping going by thinking of the thousands less fortunate than us and YES I try to look smart and wear full make up when we do go out for a walk or to the shop. Keep moving everybody - straighten your back. drop your shoulders and breathe.ViewDate:

Is it realistic to expect over 70s to remain in their homes for 4 months?I am a 76 year old fitness tutor for mature ladies and am passionate about maintaining mental as well as physical health. Many of my pupils are widows as I have been and the opportunity to make new friends and meet up with old one is invaluable. There is a strong possibility that the community centres I teach in will close. In that case I will encourage my groups to develop a fitness routine at home. However what is absolutely vital to mental and physical wellbeing is walking. We all need fresh air, sunshine with protection and company at a distance. To deprive over 70's of this healthy free and harmless activity is not only dangerous but foolish beyond words. Staying indoors for four months will undoubtedly lead to mental health problems and most definitely depression. Exercise and social interaction are essential for our mental and physical health. Think again government before making such drastic decisions about the welfare of people who need to keep fit and healthy in order to come through this virus. -
