Have the new coronavirus rules gone far enough?Too many people are not doing the right thing and have no consideration for others. When I saw the news and Boris last night on TV I thought about it being like a war with a common foe. My grandparents came together to do just that in the country and united and helped each other for the good of each other. The younger generation are not being considerate enough and making a mess of their own future. The virus does not care about anything other than to survive. Will we?ViewDate:

Are we on a countdown to chaos?I have read a lot of people's views and opinions here and have to say that I agree with them all. We really are at risk from a second wave and I feel it will be bigger than the first. Money and finance are the governing factors at play. Why are footballers allowed to play their matches, but school children must keep social distancing in the playground. It is double standards. As for some people who are being furloughed and sunning themselves on the beach I think it is disgraceful. As for the rubbish left afterwards don't get me going on that! The police also seem helpless and without clear authority from the government as to what to do about any lack of social distancing and large gatherings. Just close the beaches. It is so simple. In the meantime people; please stay safe and keep a good distance from each other.ViewDate:

What are the key points in the latest easing of lockdown?I am glad things are trying to get back to some normality but don't like the idea of reducing the 2m distancing rule to 1m. Just doesn't seem right given we have been told for so long it has to be 2m. I just hope it is not too much too soon and that people stay safe and well.ViewDate:

Are you hoping to go on holiday this summer or are you feeling hesitant?I don't have any holiday booked this year as the pandemic hit just before we were to pay our money so that was lucky. Going abroad on a plane for me is a no. My wife is in the high risk category and so it would rule that out anyway. We love to see the UK more and would like to do that at some point in the future. Bit we don't honestly know when. We both feel very nervous and unsettled by all of this and the "science" seems to be hit and miss that is providing the government with information to make the decision that they are. We go out for walks locally and might go a bit further afield to places we love to walk at as travelling to places is allowed. However, my wife is very anxious when she does go out as some people really don't follow social distancing. Stay safe everyone.ViewDate:

Will you be venturing to the shops this week?I will be waiting a bit longer to see how things go. I do hope it is all okay but I have my reservations. We all should be wearing masks and helping to protect each other and keep the 2m distance. My wife is "shielding" due to an illness and so we get our food delivered. But I still have to go out for the odd bits and pieces which I don't like doing. I have for a long time now shopped online so I am continuing to do so. Amazon gets a lot of my business and other places to. Life is changing and it will be like this for a long time yet, with more changes as well I feel.ViewDate:

Which do you miss not being open the most - your local pub or your hair salon?Being that I shave my head no problems there. But a nice cold pint relaxing in the pub garden with others from my family....oh yes please!ViewDate:

Toys of the 50s and 60sHave been playing Scrabble during the lockdown a lot. Great fun with the family. My favourite toy when I was young was my Scalextric racing car set. Had it for years. Also, roller skates!ViewDate:

Should the Government launch a food-rationing scheme?I was initially divided on this but the more I have thought about it the more I feel there needs to be rationing. There are far too many people without enough food whilst there are others' who have so much they are throwing it away as it has gone off. Some people, like my daughter, cannot buy in bulk and so tries to buy on a weekly basis. My wife and I have given her and her husband money to buy in bulk but we can't keep doing that. If people were not so greedy there would be plenty to go around of all types of food and sundries. Instead, I have seen for myself the empty shelves and look of desperation etched into the faces of young and old trying to get the basic essentials; milk, bread, tinned foods and of course, toilet paper.ViewDate:

Are you getting dressed for social distancing?I still get up at the same time each day and keep to a routine as best I can. I am retired so have managed to keep busy and continue to do so. I have a beard but still keep it trimmed. My wife is retired as well and always manages to find something to do every day. I could not just sit around all the time, but I do make sure I give myself a break. Stay safe and stay home. God bless you all.
