Should parents be fined for not sending their children back to school?Learning is very important. But there needs to be alternatives to the “old school way” Educational administrators need to consult teachers on how to go about accomplishing these alternatives. Educators need ti think outside the box!! We are in a pandemic . Things are not the same and may never be again. Rather than punishing parents they should find a new way to get student learning gains Governments should immediately change the funding formulas and give schools equal funds for virtual and face to face students. After all it is the tax payers money supporting schools Schools should think of the different ways to spend that money. Instead of transportation, instead of text books, instead of buildings and cleaners for those buildings. Administrators need ti think of virtual ways to reach and provide educational services to their students. Parents could form learning groups with rotating parents supervising computer learning. There are so many great things that can come from change. Lets not punish first.ViewDate:

Should parents be fined for not sending their children back to school?Well said. Many students today are social through interactive computer games. Using these “safe” platforms to continue friendships and socializing.ViewDate:

Should parents be fined for not sending their children back to school?I agree. Many times the school tour shows the oarent what the school wants them to see. But, then because of necessities. Things change. Where there was 10 student desks it becomes 25 and social distancing disappears. Students can not be supervised every minute, so masks come down, close contact happens. Parents should not have to risk their child’s health on impossible situations.ViewDate:

Should parents be fined for not sending their children back to school? In America, Covid us still spiking. Schools are open. Students are offered online learning or face to face. There is no reason to stop learning. Except, because of spikes, parents keep their students home for a week. When 5 days have passed, they send then back to face to face. This stop and start is very disruptive to students learning. It would be better to teach all students online until a vaccine and/or a cure is found.
