Young women todayIt's a classic case of baking your cake and eating it, It happens in every social or political revolution. The pendulum swings too far to the other side. Then it swings back. Eventually, some sort of balance comes about. Take the case of disciplining children. It used to be spare the rod and spoil the child. Now we have to discuss everything with them, no matter how complex the ideas are or how old they are. Or even if they are capable of understanding what is being discussed. So it doesn't surprise me that young women want equality but still enjoy the privilege of wanting high status, financially secure men. I have heard women say the same things about men today that were said about women in the fifties and sixties. There are even youtube videos for men by women telling men on what they should do to keep their women happy. Some of you will remember books written advising women on how to please their husbands. Now it is the other way round. I had a good laugh when I saw the first of those "Keep your Wife happy" videos. To answer your question. No, you are not being unreasonable.ViewDate:

Religion: The Church of EnglandThe last time I went to church was when I was 10. I was kicked out of Sunday School and sent to the big church for asking too many uncomfortable questions and challenging the poor teacher on what she told us. I thought it was great, finally, I would get some answers but I soon found out that I was wrong. There was no conversation just some guy lecturing me on morals and devotion and calling me a sinner. I gave up church then and there much to my father's disappointment. To his credit, he didn't force me to go. I have been an Atheist ever since.ViewDate:

Should The Crown carry a fiction warning? There are always youtube posts that correct the historical anomalies in films and TV series. it is a good way to learn about history. Enjoy the show then go to youtube and look for History Buffs. Vikings, The Last Kingdom, Spartacus TV series are historically incorrect. They piqued my interest in those particular areas and I checked their historical accuracy. The characters are usually real people from history but not necessarily in their true settings. Sometimes I can pick the anomalies other times I can't. I can often pick when they are using incorrect armour or weapons for the era but I can still be surprised. -
