Do you feel comfortable with online banking?Prefer online banking as it is open 24 hours a day and every day (and we have no bank branches closer than 10 miles to us). I hate and resent that my bank has reduced its online apps on the PC and is constantly nagging me to bank on my mobile phone. I won't, until I'm left with no other option - and my bank won't respond to complaints about this 'phone banking' bullying.ViewDate:

Should police be more lenient with shoplifters during the current economic crisis? There was a spate of thefts from small retailers on our area recently, and some of the businesses involved were hit hard by lockdown and still struggling to recover. It would break their spirits to find that those who steal from them aren't brought to face what they do.ViewDate:

Are slugs welcome in your garden?Slug wool from Gardening Naturally, or any sharp surface (like gravel) around plants that suffer badly from slug munching. Other than that... go out at night with a torch and salt.ViewDate:

Have you been able to book your Covid Booster yet?Tried to book for my husband who is eligible... no invite from our GP and they are telling us to wait - NHS website has now changed its advice from "Wait 182 days" to "Wait 190 days". OF COURSE the rollout is sluggish! We can't BOOK! Rumour has it that two of our local sites have run out of boosters... At this rate, we can maybe save Christmas 2023.ViewDate:

Have you been able to book your Covid Booster yet?Our area lost its hospital to housing twenty years ago, so we were at the back of the queue for the first jabs. He's eligible, but told to wait till the GP calls him - if the Government do drop the requirement from six months to five, I'm eligible too. Not expecting to be called before Christmas.ViewDate:

Panic buying: Psychologists explain why drivers are rushing to fill their petrol tanksDon't forget that some people travel long distances as part of their work, and need to fill up every couple of days. And there are some who are stuck on the road behind those queuing for fuel, unable to get past safely. Not everyone filling up is panic-buying.ViewDate:

Have you had to sell a family home to fund a loved one's social care?I keep hearing that it's unfair that the burden of paying the current elderly generation's costs fall on the current young - I really wish I'd heard that when I was young and paying for my grandparents' and parents' costs. I have been taxed for 40 years and now can't access anything I've paid for - GP visits, NHS care, free dentistry, pension. Not every elderly person is wealthy, and all but the very few have been taxed and taxed again on what they do own. Time to open the NI income / expenditure accounts and show us where all that money is going - not all of it to health, welfare and social care costs, I suspect.ViewDate:

Old Age PensionSpot on! One of my staff at my last job was 21, and refused to join the staff pension scheme because she'd seen what happened to women my age - "It'll be, like, 85 when I get to retire!"ViewDate:

Should historical statues remain in place?Put an amended plaque on the statue to state any dubious activity the character may have been involved in, as historical context. I would love to see any such amended plaques on Eric Gill's work... or are we only worried about racist/slavery bad history and not misoygnist / abuse crimes? The BBC should have a good look at the artwork on the outside of their buildings before they start debating statue removal.ViewDate:

Have you been happy with accessing NHS care online?Even a telephone consult with a GP in our village is a 50:50 chance - for the last decade, we've been 9,000 people with a part-time surgery, with little chance of getting an appointment. I don't get it. My grandmother had the same problem accessing doctor's opinions, because she couldn't afford it... we're in the last century again.ViewDate:

Would you welcome a vaccine passport? No, because they do discriminate by age and vulnerability. I might be offered my jabs before July, while others may be waiting months longer - that isn't their fault, and they shouldn't be held back for it. Let people out if they are Covid free, not if they are lucky enough to have been offered a jab.ViewDate:

Should teachers be prioritised for vaccination over half-term?Agree completely. My husband's 69, but our area is vaccinating from a very slow start; he might get his mid-February. We were in groups 5 and 7, but now I'm in Group 8 with an extra 6 or 7 million people between him and me. This government will give in, they're a bunch of jellyfish, and they've lost two votes in this household.ViewDate:

Should teachers be prioritised for vaccination over half-term?Agree completely. This government is too keen to swing in the wind of public opinion. I was prepared to wait my turn, but with every week my turn seems to move two weeks further away. Time to start shouting at my MP, I think, or it will never get to be my turn.ViewDate:

Are you worried that other people are not following Covid rules?A few people on my village FB page are getting very aggressive in their posts, saying that they will cause a big problem if asked to mask up, no-one can make them, it's not the law etc. We are staying home and getting stuff delivered to keep away from these idiots. No point in making it law, there's not enough police to challenge every prat in the country.
