Hi from a newcomerHi, I will be 69 in November and a widow of of 14 years. I have been vaccinated and made up my mind to live my life (what is left of it) maskless unless mandated in place of business. I have a wonderful family but they cannot even imagine the loneliness and boredom of losing a partner of 38 years. A confidante, a friend, someone you can chat with without reason: just the sake of sharing your thoughts and soul. I really feel where you are coming from! Hang in there, still a lot of good people out there, for now anyway. And by the way, you are not once upon a time! we have a ways to go! My dad will be 94 this July and his mother lived one month shy of 93!ViewDate:

Where are all the old people?!Finally have time to myself since I signed up. Thanks for commenting; no one else has except I guess the welcoming committee :). You are very far away and I have never been to Canada as far as that never out of the U.S. No pity party that is just the way it is. One of my daughters took me on some short visits in U.S. and that and for that I am grateful and we had a blast. But that is how we were taught back then (grateful). I live in Louisiana, always have. Pandemic, well I got vaccinated and while I do not want anyone in my face, I am no longer wearing the "MASK". I started back to the gym after a 10lb gain of pandemic shut-in! Honestly, sometimes other than family, I would just like to talk to someone, Thanks again.
