Do you have your milk delivered by a Milkman? When I saw this I just had to tell. We live in a rural area and have our milk delivered. Our milkman always drove an open-sided milk lorry until recently. He has been obliged by the 'Elf 'n Safety brigade to get a closed van 'to avoid contamination'. This means that as he arrives at each house he has to get out and open the doors of the van and reach in to get the milk and close the doors again. How on earth our generation survived I do not know. I dread to think how much time this adds to his rounds.ViewDate:

Epic stories to inspire readingI'm currently reading The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry and it's the most engrossing book I've come across in a long time. As is often the case in books I love I find that it's a first novel and the author is Rachel Joyce. Beautifully written and so descriptive of thought processes, the awareness of the environment, and the complexities of seemingly ordinary people it is very thought-provoking. It came out in 2012 so may have already been discovered by many readers, but if you haven't come across it yet give it a try.
