Immigration?I think our culture has been changing from day one, every country absorbs what they want from visitors, immigrants and from seeing other countries. I feel the question we should ask is " Do we have the room and facilities to give a decent life" Being an island we have limited land a dwindling housing market and a Health service in trouble. If we had plenty of all of these plus of course jobs, i would welcome them from wherever they cameViewDate:

Breaking Up Is Hard To DoHello, Hope I'm not intruding, I read your post and was struck by the "feelings of loneliness and pain" I am feeling like this a lot of the time. Not through a breakup as such, I lost my wife of 40 years over 6 years ago, i too can be happy and often am but there are still those feelings.ViewDate:

fireworks and petsHi All, I have just received an e. Mail about the petition I signed regarding further firework regs. The government have no plans to change the status quo, so that is that. i have sprayed Adaptil all over and I think it helps a little (this isn't an ad)ViewDate:

fireworks and petsHello Sabre, How was Halloween for your dog? For us it was quieter than expected, most bangs were from 9 pm through midnight. I had the TV loud and went to bed around 11. 30 but my dog would not go out for a wee, so I was up at 3 am to do the honours. I'm not looking forward to Thursday at all as it will probably go through Friday, Saturday and some of of Sunday. I just signed on line a Gov petition for the restriction of fireworks, they have 23 thousand plus signatures so far.ViewDate:

Living with tinnitus: an online guideHi all, this is my first time in a chat room. I've had tinnitus for a long time now, through a noisy work environment, leaving me deaf in one ear, before the H&S laws were popular. I sometimes use a machine that makes an adjustable wind like noise, which helps at night but my dog who sleeps on the bed doesn't appreciate it. It is usually music or songs in my head repeating constantly, I find that it can sometimes be stopped by repeating a Mantra in my head to drown it out. I have a hearing aid which does sometimes help. -
