Motoring: Dashboard Cameras on private vehiclesTwo stories. My son had a car cross in front of him, at the traffic lights, both vehicles totally written off. Six people got out of the other vehicle and started shouting abuse and fowl language at my son, who was on his own and had no independent witnesses, they were accusing him of crossing a red light. When the police arrived he showed them his camera footage, which clearly showed a green light and the other car just turning across him. They shut up instantly! I was following a van, on a dual carriageway, when it seemed to lose control and swerve into another car, severely damaging it. The van speeded off. My camera, caught the registration number and showed the police and insurance company what had happened and helped convict the van driver. I will never drive without a camera onboard. I could tell another two stories, but I won't bore you. An absolute must have, but make sure it is good enough to read number plates at distances and records clearly at night.ViewDate:

Weight Loss SurgeryHi Chaz, I had full gastric bypass surgery in January 2009 at the age of 60. I was 180kg at the time and I dropped to 128kg at my best. Now, I'm 151kg and have been for some years. I was type 2 diabetic, at the time, taking lots of Metformin. The surgery completely cured my diabetes and I haven't taken any medication, for diabetes, since 2009. The thing is, the surgery is brilliant and works as it is intended, I can only eat very small quantities of food at a time. BUT, it does not change your mental attitude to food. So, if you're a lover of sweet food (chocolate, cakes etc.) or fatty foods (cheese, crisps, pies etc.) then you will find away to consume these and your calorie intake will be high, because you will learn to 'graze' (eat small quantities, but often). So to sum up, if your problem is that you put weight on, even though you eat as a normal person and you don't want to overindulge on bad food, this surgery will probably work for you. But if you're a foodaholic and prone to eating too much of the wrong foods, it very likely might not work.ViewDate:

Do you think we’re facing chaos now we’re leaving the EU?My apologies, it's the New York Times that know nothing about it. Not surprised, they probably got it from the British media.ViewDate:

Barometer Survey shows the over 50s have strong views about BrexitWe all know that they will tell us everything we want to hear, but nothing will change. If we blow it this time and stay in EUROPE we will deeply regret it. I am sure of that!
