Has the media become too judgemental? The media have always had their favourites.Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have always been targets, as was their mother.I think it is such a shame to treat two young women to such constant carping.ViewDate:

Would you like to see cannabis legalised? My son started smoking cigarettes as a young teenager, then cannabis, then heroin. He managed to come off all the drugs,he reduced methadone prescription himself. He then took to alcohol,he has been prescribed huge amounts of morphine, liquid morphine,Lorazepam, codeine. That is as well as drinking huge amounts of alcohol, every day.He is now 36.I agree with everything you said Lionel.I was a psychiatric nursing sister all my life.I retired two years ago at 67. All my life I have been positive and optimistic, unfortunately not now.ViewDate:

When the odds are decreased, will you continue to do the Lottery?I know the odds but I am optimistic and maybe stupid but it offers a glimmer of hope through the week before I get my ticket checked. Then I buy the next one.ViewDate:

Is the balance right between toddlers social interaction and technology engagement?I think the mobile phone and ipads etc are fantastic. I feel dismayed when I see babies in pushchairs, facing away from their parents. The adults, texting. They get pushed into shops and cafe's that the mother would be reluctant to go in,on her own.The baby needs to see the parents expressions and greetings, to other people and can only do that by learning from the parents faces. I know some parents that use these devices for letting the toddlers watch films all day.Rarely speaking to them.ViewDate:

Should the House of Lords be reformed?Lord Sewel was poked into place by Tony Blair.Totally without standards, unqualified and no thought for parliament,no pride in himself or his country. Some seventy others moved, to be around Dolphin Square,to take advantage of the cheaper rents.Personally think that the numbers of both houses should be reduced. Our situation is far from ideal,I do,on the whole feel safer in England than a lot of other countries.ViewDate:

Best-ever Dragons’ Den pitchesHi,my name is Rita Oakes.I have already sent a letter to Hilary Devey outlining a proposition if she would fund a ghost writer, she could have 50% of what a book would make.My mother was Miss Nottinghamshire. She was private secretary to a bank manager in Slab Square in Nottingham. She hated it,saw people outside having fun,she got her coat and climbed out of the window. She joined the Communist party that met in secret in the caves under Nottingham Castle. She met my father in the Palais de Danse,he was a Polish,Battle of Britain, flying ace.He was shot down three times, the last time he was caught by the Gestapo and interrogated in the infamous Fresnes prison for seven months. He was then sent to Stalag Luft 3.The Great Escape was from that stalag. When he left the RAF he bought land in Lincolnshire. He got a Potato merchants licence, bought two lorries, loaded them with potatoes and showed my mother where Manchester was on the map,he told her to be at the Wholesale Veg market at five in the morning and sell the load of spuds. She was Britains first long distance lady lorry driver. She lied to the DVLA and I have her drivers licence as being ten years younger than she was. I have lots of her diaries and photographs .If she took loads of newsprint to newspapers they often took photo's of her and wrote an article. All the workers coming out to stare at her and blow kisses.Best wishes,ViewDate:
