Should out-patients and visitors be charged to park at hospitals?Until my local hospital started charging to park it was virtually impossible for anyone to park for appointments or visiting. The car parks were filled by commuters who left the car there for the day and caught the bus for the then small journey to work,or car shared with other people so all saving parking fees.A permit for reduced fees IS available for long stay patients BUT has to be asked for.ViewDate:

How would you go about choosing a care home for a loved one?Arrive without an appointment. Mid morning or mid afternoon to see what activities are taking place or is everyone sat in a circle with tv blaring out. meal times to see quality of food and if assistance given to eat. check for any overpowering perfume smell hiding odour. chat to other residents/relatives about care etc.ViewDate:

Should terminally ill patients have the right to die?Twenty six years have passed since my husband died of cancer. My then small children still remember his agony and his begging for help to die We have all made a living will in the hope that we will be assisted to die when/if that is our wish.ViewDate:

Do you think charities are too aggressive when it comes to raising money?I have direct debits for cancer research and macmillan. If anyone phones asking for an increase I offer to cancel my DD and donate elsewhere-no further phone calls. I return any 'gifts' to the charity involved in their pre paid envelope without a donation. The idea is to make people feel guilty-something for nothing- so will donate. -
