Will you take the Covid-19 vaccine when you are offered it?Oh Boy, This should really be a no brainer, given I'm lucky enough to live in a very low infection rate to begin with...but...there's always a 'but' right? As said by others the speed at which these vacines have been developed has me suspicious, like many our age the word 'Thalidomide', enters conversation. I know science has moved on apace since but the speed of these vacines is something else! So, at the moment I'm gonna sit on the fence as not entirly convinced.....ViewDate:

English GrammarHi Yodama, sorry, being the technically inept i've only just seen this:-), fully agree with all your comments. The young man in question was indeed a very personable chap, well presented at the interview to become a vehicle recovery technician. Not the most sought after post perhaps but I like it, and a large portion of the work for good or bad is working with the police. Therein lies the problem. Even us simple driver/techs are loaded with paperwork from dvla, police, and lord knows who else. If your tacho is written up wrong or a maintenance check is wrong your in trouble and fined. Worse, the police paperwork is a legal document from an accident or crime scene and can be brought in as evidence in court, the ramifications of which are obvious, hence because of this lads lack of education he sadly fell at the first hurdle, quite possibly through no fault of his own!ViewDate:

Should the State Pension be means tested?I am fast approaching pension age and frankly the spectre of it scares the heck out of me to the point I don't think i'll ever be in a position to retire! People can say you should have saved, you should have taken out a pension or insurance, but quite frankly I bet a large proportion of people were to busy budgeting for homes, childrens needs etc to afford these on their wages. Yes, means test those who can afford it, yes they've paid in the same as the rest of us I agree but who says that should even those people fall short on retirement funds then be able to reapply if the need arises. Also, so long as any pension money was redistributed to pensioners not other places. Surely, we've earned the right to live in dignity in later years and not simply work till we drop?ViewDate:

Should same-sex couples be allowed to get married in a church? In this day and age are we really as relativly intelligent people, alledgedly, to take the bible literally? Has often seemed to me that it in itself was a very nice piece political 'fancy footwork' by Constantine at the council of Nicea and his conversion also a political imperative to try and stem the flow of the then new religeon. I sometimes wonder if Jesus was here today would he be seen as nothing more than a political extremest by society. Just a thought, not meant to upset those who firmly believe, if it floats your boat, fine, just leave the rest of us out of it.ViewDate:

Will Donald Trump ‘Make America Great Again’?Give the man a chance, maybe a seismic change in politics over there is what's needed.ViewDate:

English GrammarDon't get me wrong, I am far from the sharpest knife in the box, but, recently at work I saw an application form for a vacancy from a college leaver for want of a better expresion. I couldn't believe what I was looking at! The handwriting resembled the aftermath of a spider falling down an inkwell, little and no punctuation, but worst of all it contained text speak spelling!!ViewDate:

Should the government be spending tax payers money on EU Leaflets with a one sided view? They have an obligation to play by their own rules as well, not effectivly start lobbying and leaflet dropping a week ahead of everybody else and using tax payers money over and above the allocation to both sides.ViewDate:

Religious choiceWorship Mr Blobby if you wish, whatever floats your boat! More deaths in the name of various faiths than anything else throughout history. Does strike me though that killing in the name of religeon is 'negotiable'. Depends on what faith is doing the killing and which is getting killed to justify whoevers faith.
