Just joined so I'm introducing myself.Hello and welcome. I think it's great that you're moving on with your life, retraining and looking for new friends. The loss of a relationship, whether it be by divorce or death is never easy and I just wanted to say 'Go, girl', build a life you love. My best wishes to you.ViewDate:

NewbieHi and welcome! You're right .. a lot of people on the site are based in the UK. I'm also in the UK but am an Aussie longing to return after having spent almost 3 decades here. My biggest fear is that I might not find work if I return and as the cost of living in Australia (I was last there just over a month ago) is much higher than here, it makes the prospect of relocating rather scary. At the moment though my thoughts are with those affected by the bushfires and my heart breaks at the loss of all the precious wildlife, especially the koalas who can't move as quickly as other species. As an aside, if anyone else happens to be reading this, I've just donated to the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital in the hope I can do some good via their GoFundMepage. Although you're on the other side of the world, please feel free to get in touch if you would like to and I'm sure you'll find other friendly folks on here too. I wish you well!ViewDate:
