Is a bad deal better than remaining in the European Union?"Corrupt cartel"? Our government is a haven of probity, I suppose? As for an EU army, all that has been suggested so far, as I understand it, is a type of rapid reaction force, thought necessary in the face of possible threat from Russia. This will only formalise what goes on today, with troops from many countries stationed in the Baltics and the arctic. Britain would have a veto on such a development, or might just choose not to be a party. I don't think foreign troops or police have been active in either France or Barcelona, as France and Spain are both sovereign (note the word!) countries.ViewDate:

Should we have a second EU referendum? This little child is a grandfather, and I have more respect for my grandchildren's future than to let this national act of self-harm pass without challenge.ViewDate:

Should we have a second EU referendum?"Vested interests" ! The same interests that want a deregulated economy, reduced worker's rights, a privatised NHS, reduced food and environmental standards and a return to the pre-welfare state days. Why? So that they can line their pockets and expand their investments stashed in tax havens (which the EU, incidentally, is trying to legislate against) The same people in fact that the original referendum was sold as "giving a kicking to" All that brexit will achieve (particularly a hard version) is to put us all at the mercy of such people. Oh and I expect that Mr. Farage will make a bob or two along the line as well.ViewDate:

Will you be voting in the European Elections this month?Better rights than the EU? Most of our worker's rights have come as a result of the EU, despite the best efforts of the Conservatives.ViewDate:

Will you be voting in the European Elections this month?I couldn't agree more! Well said; something is terribly wrong with our education system that so many cannot see that they are being delivered into the hands of the very people that the referendum vote was (wrongly) intended by many to "give a good kicking" to. Sad indeed.ViewDate:

Will you be voting in the European Elections this month?Says more about our own government than anything else. They turned down a request for temporary nationalisation remember, but that was fine for the East Coast Mainline. "Near zero relevance to climate change" - I think many would take issue with that statement! Little enough may be, but efforts must start somewhere. At least the EU is taking it seriously.ViewDate:

Who will you be voting for in the European Elections?I take your point, but things would have been a lot easier in many cases if our own government had used the tools put at their disposal by EU rules. However, our reluctance to introduce ID cards made things difficult, as did our unwillingness to properly resource the agencies responsible thus causing confusion and lengthy delays. As to "no appeals", any legal system must allow the possibility for appeal, for what must be obvious reasons in a civilised society. Incidently, the ECHR is an international convention to protect human rights and political freedoms in Europe, and therefore is not part of the EU as such.ViewDate:

Who will you be voting for in the European Elections? That's right! We won the war didn't we! ( With the help of the Russians, America, India, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and many others. Oh, and a BAOR lable on your vehicle helped with border crossings in those days.ViewDate:

Who will you be voting for in the European Elections?I appreciate that not all who support Farage or UKIP are xenophobes and/or racists, but as someone elsewhere pointed out, those who are racists and xenophobes probably do support him.ViewDate:

Will you be voting in the European Elections this month?Largely due to the Tory policy of eroding their rights, and the drive for a low-wage economy. Companies are having their wage bills subsidised by the taxpayer via in-work benefits. Not a lot to do with the EU, more our own government. Things will only get worse post- Brexit, it has been clearly stated in hard Brexit quarters that the aim is to do away with worker's rights, and also accept lower food and environmental standards.ViewDate:

Should we have a second EU referendum? The country is being held to ridicule; stop this self-destructive madness NOW. Many voters wanted (quite rightly) to show their opinion of the "ruling elite" whose policies had let them down so badly; policies most of which, incidentally, emanated from Westminster, not Brussels. Unfortunately, their decision has delivered them wholesale into the very hands from which they were trying to escape. Remember that the referendum itself was only called in an effort to preserve the cohesion of the Tory party in the face of losing votes to UKIP. Unintended consequences writ large, Mr Cameron?
