Would you eat lab-grown meat?I am already many years a vegetarian, thanks to my dear wife. It is the animals are killed what put her and when she explained it to me that put me off as well. I do not eat mead, fish or fowl any more ever since I married my wife.ViewDate:

Are we on a countdown to chaos?Hi MaryH81, apologies for answering late but I had to help several people with problems with their laptops, and I wanted to do that first before I went onto the social tour, I am not much with social newsletters. I know about people I used to be a migrant myself all those years go ne by and I had to fight my way up very hard. Now I am there and I do not like to see a lot of these people trying everything in order to get into this country and once settled they see what others got and they did not get, forgetting one has to work hard in order to get the things other people has. I never begrudge other people for what they have, though a lot of people begrudge me for what I have. Work, any kind of work, would do wonders for these kind of people. Maybe they will understand in time to come.ViewDate:

Are we on a countdown to chaos? So why this unacceptable "protest" (translate into rampage), because that is what it really is, I have been in protest marches to which we first applied for a march and after that we calmly marched along in rows of people, chanting, singing and shouting, but no wilful causing damage to buildings, goods or people and in the end we got what we came for, as people originally from this country and no migrants. There is a saying from my youth; The house in which I live, the food that I consume, I keep all clean and tidy. There is nothing anything like that anymore today.ViewDate:

Do you use chemical weed killer?I never use chemicals in my garden, instead I dig up any plants that do not belong in my garden, whatever they may be, and deposit it on the compost heap after completely taking it to pieces.ViewDate:

Strategies to help change our attitude towards foodIt was long and long ago that one of my teachers in my younger years told me "I eat to live and not live to eat" and I kept that line always in sight. I cook only decent food and eat it well cooked, drink water, fruit juice and coffee, go to bed early and get up early the next morning. Have my daily walk and chat with people, watch some television now and then, read the interesting bits in the paper. Aoll this has brought me to the age I am now.ViewDate:

Are you hoping to go on holiday this summer or are you feeling hesitant? With all these unrests going in the whole world and fighting going on in the other worlds, who wants to go there and visit whatever there was to visit in the first place, one also have problems with the language because other countries deign not to be able to understand you and thus you are loosing money on anything you want to buy. Another thing the airplanes are not safe to fly anymore.ViewDate:

Will you be venturing to the shops this week?It is not a venture for me as I am a widower with no family at all, it is necessity for to go sometimes twice to the same shop in order to get what I in a normal time need for my house keeping duties. I some time get sick and tired of the "only 2 items at a time" and the long unnecessary queues outside shops in the rain, it makes people irritated because they see all this to do quite unnecessary at times. Why not make it easy for people like me, to have a canopy with seating arrangement outside the big shops so we oldies can sit down and await our turn to get into the shop, I am disabled as well.ViewDate:

Should controversial statues around the country be removed? The whole thing is a bit uselessly trying to chance history today while all of it has passes into history. If you want to change history one has to travel back in time in order to do anything about it. What a lot of people conveniently forget is that the Muslims started the whole trade to begin with and the whites followed later because of the money to be made of it. Even today the Muslims still do it and not trying to shut it out for the rest of the world, but then the Muslims with all that oil are too strong to go against it, and we in the west are not doing anything against it because of the fear the oil stream would be blocked for good and all. But in cases like this people listen to the loudest voices and the hardest threats and just join in to stay safe of it all for them and their families.ViewDate:

Will you download the tracing app when it becomes available?Personally and private I really do not see the use of downloading that app as I am not a doctor and certainly do not know how to use NHS software and where. I rather have a certified person, doctor or nurse, to use it on me and see what the results are and how to act upon them.ViewDate:

Should disposable barbecues be banned? Why should disposable barbeques be banned? It is the people who throw them away everywhere whom should be banned in using them. It is always people who are messing up nature everywhere. Point in fact; next to my house is an alley which was used by many people to defecate, urinate, copulate, regurgitate and use needles, that stopped a few years ago when I installed flood lights and cameras. If the problem is so desperate with these barbeques then something should be done about that, banning them is a simplistic way of doing something with no results whatsoever.ViewDate:

Should Dominic Cummings resign?Well I am surprised the this moment of truthfulness, who decided to vote for Boring Yeltsin and his sidekick? I did not and now everyone and his uncle all of a sudden is against it what a wonder. Next time when you might be voting again better think into the future first before you put your cross on the voting paper. Now we have a philander and womaniser sa a PM and his liar next on the same throne. You chose now you have to live with it, like it or not.ViewDate:

Have you received the holiday refund that you are due?It was some years ago when I decided to go on "a sigles" holiday after my wife passes away and friends advised me to go on a trip like that, which I did after thinking about it for a while. Obviously I did not think long enough because after a couple of day in a hotel I came back to my room after wandering around town or a while, only finding an unknown female in my room whom stated "I looked like I could use some female company for the night", I immediately went back to the hotels lobby and demanded another room and some one from the hotel to accompany me in order to get my things back. The following morning I went back home at my own cost and since then I have not gone onto any kind of holiday anywhere. My complaint to the company received no answer whatsoever.ViewDate:

Why you should consider wearing a face maskA face mask is fine but people wearing one are hard to understand for people with q hearing problem like me. To me one wearing a face mask speaks to me with a barely understanding voice and I have to ask them to repeat what they are just said and some people are getting frustrated by this and take down their face mask and all of a sudden they speak to me in a clear and understanding voice.ViewDate:

Are you happy to remain opted-in for organ donation? To me the NHS is the government because they are paid by them and do as told what to do. I have 2 scans and a biopsie and they still do not know what ails me or what. I have read an article that just over 50% of the scanners are not working well or at all, what an NHS, thus I go through life being ill and not being helped at all in any way.ViewDate:

Are you happy to remain opted-in for organ donation? Why is it in the government that when they need something they just take it "without as much as by your leave?" It does not matter if it is valables, money, land, goods or anything else. My body parts are mine as I was born with them and nobody but nobody has any rights to just take as if they were spare parts to be used by anybody and everybody.ViewDate:

Is it sensible to allow specified year groups back to school? In my private opinion it is very sensible to get specific year groups back to school. What about the highest year classes who have an end examination to go through soon. How about first year primary schools, those little children would be quite confused to get from home all day to school for a half day. I believe there are other groups of adults as well who have to sharpen up what they were taught before the put on free time, in order to get up to were they left off all those weeks before. There should be communication between those groups (and their representatives) in order to get a smooth slotting in for all the age/knowledge groups with the teachers/tutors.ViewDate:

Would you feel confident taking a holiday flight from 1st July?As flying is not as safe as it was in the beginning, no I definitely would not fly long haul anywhere in this world today. Too many planes come down from the sky without knowing why and how it happened. My longest flight I ever had was 48 hours, from Amsterdam/Schiphol airport to Batavie airport with an overnight stay in Karachi so the plane could be checked out for any possible mal functions during the flight. Nowadays the passengers go out of the plane and the new passengers come in straight away, no checking for anything because there is no time anymore "and time is money!"ViewDate:

Does the new 'Stay Alert' slogan convey a clear message? It is nice o have a slogan like this one, but one has be told firstly what is it all about, (health, community, grouping together, children free to run about, and so on and on) then we can use this slogan to the full for every one will know what it is all about. Like in the war " the enemy is listening" and then came the slogan, but here there is nothing.ViewDate:

Are you having weird or vivid dreams during lockdown?I always say that dreams are a part of our brains history put into a hierarchise and when we sleep well these parts of our past are coming to the fore and we "dream", reliving a part of our past. Thus I have had several really nice dreams about my past which I really enjoyed when I had in real life. No bad dreams or horror dreams because I had a pleasant past and now enjoy those pleasant moments as dreams.ViewDate:

Nowadays I see women dressed in their night gear going shopping in their slippers. That is something I will never do. I still ask women in my company if they mind I take my suit jacket off. That is the way I was brought up and I still adhere to that norm from years agone.ViewDate:

Is it realistic to expect over 70s to remain in their homes for 4 months? This is completely very unrealistic! Is this because of this virus thing going on? The whole world should be charging China for this problem as they were the one keeping it secret when it started in their country. They should be blamed for what is happening, not the over 70's or the under 10,s, If this isolation things is really going ahead then I really do wonder if this government really is losing its grip on reality. I am a widower of over 70 with no family whatsoever, how do I get my shopping if there is no one to help me, and many others I presume, to get food? Stupid ideas are being spouted.ViewDate:

Is the UK Government doing enough to lessen the spread of Covid-19?No, the government is not doing enough at all to contain the spreading of the virus. Why is it that the continent can fly to the UK and from here to the US? Why is it that ordering anything from infestation site is still possible? Why is it that ordering anything from around the UK is still possible? Why is it that schools are not closed down? Why is it that one still can go see a movie, a play or visit a pub? Just a few questions I have!ViewDate:

Would you consider downsizing when you retire or have you already done so?When I retired and my wife as well we decided both to get a smaller house with a little garden as we really did not need a large house as we do not entertain a lot of people in retirement and thus we could live comfortably in a smaller house. Travel first aid kit essentialsWhen my wife was still alive we traveled the length and breath of the continent. As we had children too I always had a complete travel case with me for adults and children.. I renewed that every year so to have good medications with me all the time. My family and I traveled in an estate so the children could sleep in the back when it became a bit tedious for them, I had bedding, pillows and blanks with me for them. Everything was used but the first aid kit. All those years we traveled around, not once was the seal broken from the kit. We had a good and extensive kit but every year I returned and unused git for a new one, which was my insurance worth for it.ViewDate:
